NL-To know him is to love him. Although he is one of the most humble people I know, Den from CAVR.com is retiring from writing about porn after a measly 27,754 reviews, lol. I have nominated Den for every Hall Of Fame there is and as far as I know he has turned down all the nominations. You will be so missed Den. My first director of the year award and movie of the year award came from Den and CAVR so that will always be special so I want to say thanks to the man that should be in every adult movie Hall of Fame even though he is too humble to think he deserves it. Best wishes on your retirement Den. With Jay closing up soon and Roger now employed as a publicist, it seems as though the industry is going to need more young bucks to take over providing alternative looks at movies (from what the production companies offer).
There were times when your summaries provided more information than a full fledged review elsewhere so as I’ve pointed out in the past, you’re leaving some big shoes to fill. As a true swan song, it might be interesting for you to write your autobiography; from your private line of amateur flicks to the arrests so many years ago to the hillbilly plagiarism matter to all the little battles with companies who would burn consumers and everything in between.
We agreed to disagree on specific issues a number of times over the years (choking & position menus coming to mind) but whatever minor qualms arose, you were one of the few who would speak out about what you thought was wrong, even when it cost you in return (a pretty rare concept these days).
