I’m Happy Digital Playground Has a New PR Person…- UPDATE- UPDATE AGAIN!

UPDATE AGAIN NL- I heard from Kendra ( almost instantly!) and she says Kristin is out of town. So Kristin gets a pass this time ( maybe we could get her that bouncing email that comes back with an "out of town" message next time?) Kendra is ON my project, she ROCKS! And I’d actually like to do a story on HER!

UPDATE- NL- You guys are funny. I love your conjecture about what I am saying "between the lines" There are actually several reasons I am glad about Kendra. But one is that I don’t currently know anyone at DP, and my email to Kristin ( new PR i’ve heard) from a week ago is still unanswered. I’d just like to deal with a nice, responsive person who knows the business, and Kendra fits the bill.

NL- Finally, a great P.R. person to work with at Digital Playground. I plan on covering some of their stories now. Hope Kendra sticks around for a long time. Kendra-I’m ready to work with you & DP.     Nothing against Kendra but she has some mighty big britches to fill coming after Adella and Chris. Whatever issues Cindi/NL had with them in the past, they were far more helpful than most in the industry. If DP has now started hiring stable contract performers, that will go a long way toward making Kendra’s life easier; perhaps they will start making more movies that don’t look so much alike to also assist her efforts. 😉

    I was just on the phone with a buyer for a major chain of stores right before I checked out LIB. We were just talking about DP lame attempt to enter the novelty market. The purchasing agent was telling me how they are going to pass on bring any DP novelty product in. I asked why? They stated, “The packaging is stupid and cheap looking”. The buyer went on to tell me that the lame little jewels on the vibrators look like a kids toy at Toys R Us. Very cheap looking. Also the packaging is not what contemporary boutiques are selling. The Novelty game is not at all like the DVD market. You cannot just cookie cut and knock off packaging like these lames do with porn now. With the DVD market gone and never coming back. Some of these folks here in porn valley are getting desperate. Like rats on a sinking ship. Now they have turned their sites on the novelty business. Their folly is that they are not smart business people when it comes to original concepts and marketing product that requires working outside the porn bubble. In other words they want to bring their devaluing , over saturation, unoriginal cookie cutter way of business to things other than fuck movies. Another example is Premier Sales Group. They are one of the biggest devaluing whores of DVDs. Beside the Israelis. They tried to bring their same cut throat business acumen to novelties. Needless to say they failed and could not cut it in the real merchandising world of holding value and profit margins. Another lame is Legend. Their packaging is trite and so out of touch with what impulses contemporary buyers. They get products say from Pipe Dreams that already exist. Then the put it in some dopey looking packaging and think that’s cool. The consumers are not all 58 year old porn producers. They don’t have an innovative bone in their body or a clue as to what the end users put money on a retail counter for. The market has changed drastically from rain coat, smut shop, to boutiques that cater to women and couples. Porn is a secondary product in most stores around the country now. People can jack off to porn for free all day on the internet. The good thing is the bad economy is shaking off theses people like fleas who have nothing more than a sales pitch of, “hey its me buy from me cause I know you and I ran my porn business in the ground and spent my money foolishly living beyond my means”. Sorry, the industry owes none of you a damn thing. And that’s the truth.

  6. Well Kendra won’t be doing Adella’s job. I doubt that’s what this is. This seems to be more of a vanity piece than a real job for her. She’s on VH1 now and Digital Playground probably thinks getting Kendra to work for them will bring them mainstream publicity. When Adella and Chris left, Niki and Kristin took over. Did Niki and Kristin suddenly leave?

    If she really has a sex addiction, then why return to porn? No she won’t be performing but she will be around it again. She says her husband and saving her marriage are the most important things to her. Why ruin it now by returning to the industry?

    This is going to kill Luke.

    Loved your DP PR update & comments on your site. Very classy way to say something about a very unpleasant previous situation.
    Anyone who knew her would know. She was a hellion–it was no mystery. LOL I thought she would continue to do their PR. Guess not

    No it’s done. Digital Playground was her only client all these years I was told. Now it’s over, for whatever reason.

  15. It’s a good thing they got rid of Adella. I wonder how many people she alienated over the years with that attitude which was not good for DP’s pr image within the industry.
