So I was coming back too Kentucky from my trip in Indiana when I needed to get gas. I stopped off the Uniontown exit just before Louisiville, Kentucky when I noticed something strange in front of the Lions Den Adult Store. As you see from the picture above there is a white like tree house and a small building with signs all in front of the store. As I looked closer it said “if you enter this store your picture will be taken”. Well I immediately drove to the store to be nosey and as I was getting out of my car a guy indeed went over to a camera on a tripod and began to scream “smile”, “god hates porn”, and “if you enter we will post your license plate”.
LOL………….Little did he know I am a Pornstar and own a Production Company. Anyhow I entered into the store and began to talk to the clerk and she told me that the protests are daily and have been going on for a very long time. Also that the Christian group responsible for the protest has a website dedicated to shutting down the store (SEE HERE FOR WEBSITE) (NL-If you go here please leave them a comment with your thoughts, don’t just give them traffic)
When I got home I immediately went to the website and was not only shocked but it really made me mad! Listen this is America and if you want to waste your time with boycotting an Adult store instead of feeding the homeless or worrying about other community issues than go for it.
HOWEVER to post a website full of insults and propoganda is just wrong and misleading. I was shocked when I saw the “gotcha” page of how rude these so called “Christians” were when adding comments below pictures or insults to the workers there! Yes there are some people who are being outright wrong by being vulgar etc. but they are not the one’s proclaiming to be doing God’s work!
The facts page about the Porn Industry is so misleading and full of exaggerated statistics that I could only read and shake my head. One other thing I wanted to post was how they constantly referred to people doing things in a “residential neighborhood” they make it sound like the store is in the middle of a heavily populated area. Let me explain that the store is off an exit with a atleast five foot fence around it and there were no homes or business’ next to the store except for the gas station across the street. Also might I ad that I would have paid no attention to the store if it hadnt been for them! Also I would have NEVER stopped in the store if it hadnt been for them!
I was shocked to be vocally insulted for choosing my God given freedom to enter a business that I choose, I was shocked to read a website full of false information and insults, and I was even more shocked to know that a so called Christian group was behind this.
I am asking that any of my fans or Porn fans in general please stop in this store and purchase ANYTHING of value to make sure they dont win by keeping people from doing business there! Tell your friends, post on blogs and most importantly when you go please be civil and an adult. Acting stupid and vulgar only gives them more stuff to post on their garbage website.
Currently the Lions Den stores dont carry my dvd’s but we are in negotiation and hope to have them there ASAP. I will say that the young lady who was working was so sweet and very nice! The store is stocked nicely and CLEAN! I also signed a dvd I had and I took a picture at the store so look for me or ask about those.

Misskelly, there is nothing illegal here. They are on public land(sidewalk) and are taking pictures of people who are openly visible from the sidewalk or public street. Anybody, anytime, can take photos in public places, even if those photos show private property or persons, and print them anywhere they want, with any caption they want to put on them as long as the written caption is not slanderous/libelous.

In california there was a ballot measure, Porp 8., that banned gay marriage. Supporters of that measure have used public records to find out who donated money to the “yes” campaign. They are now listing those names and corperations on a wabsite and calling for boycotts of those companies, and sending letters to employers of individual contributors asking that those people be fired. It is a very similar situation………Now im just wondering, would you condem these leftwing lunatics for using this similar tactic against the mostly right wingers who supported pop 8., or would you argue that they have the right to do what they are doing? On this website there is one very intersting thing they mention. How true it is, I dont know, as these types of sites will exagerate their claims 99.99% of the time. But one thing they say is that a large majority of the customers, based on their license plates, are coming from well OUTSIDE the community where the store is located. Could it be that these people are ashamed of their own behavior and do not want to be seen anywhere near their own homes going into a porn shop?

See “general” that is your assumption by their lies. There is NO community at all. The only thing within miles of this store which is located right off the exit is a gas station across the street. This community of Uniontown is about 50 people according to their own website.
Also their is a privacy fence around the business also. You would have to see the area to understand its not “in the face” of anyone.

I don’t believe that you were in favor of the photographers, I was stating that I believe that others on the board thought that because of the statements that you made and the zealousness of your argument.
Also I would never live in a community that had a porn store. I live on the East coast in a very small white collar town. But I do have to drive on the highway and see billboards that advertise them. And yes my kids can read. They have asked question and I have told them just a tiny bit about what the stores sell. They are after all 10, 6, and 5. And god forbid my child had to walk by that store everyday.. I would drive her another rout.As a parent you do what you need to do to keep them safe. I also do not believe that because you watch porn you rape, or because you play Call of Duty, you want to shoot people.
OK the prop 8 question is confusing, not sure I go it all, but here goes. Yes I get that you can get peoples address if they donate for a certain cause. I do not agree that they write to the peoples jobs and tell others about what they are supporting and then tell them to fire them. Again I believe that is a scare (blackmail)and bulling tactic. Another “free speech” issue this week. The cartoon in the New York Post depicting the president as a chimp the police had to shoot. I live about 30 minutes away from where it happened. Should the cartoonist be fired. No. Was it bad judgment to draw it, yes. The Editor is the one who should take the heat, for having it printed. It is offensive and insightful (are we past this yet?). There were many ways that it could have been drawn. This was the most hurtful and disrespectful.
Another one that I agreed with was when Imus called the women’s basketball team “nappy head @$%*”. Yes he can say it, should he have, no. They are a bunch of college women, playing because they want to. They are not a political team, or running for office, where name calling happens.
So those are some of my “free speech” thoughts. I am always one for the saying…”just because you can, doesn’t mean you should.”

I am looking at the Unitown right now on my google earth. If you had continued east off the highway for LESS than 2/10th of a mile you hit the interstction of higway 250 and 30. This is the center of the small town. The nearest house to the adult bookstore is LESS tha 1/10th of amile, and virtually EVERY single residence in that community is LEss than 1/2 mile from the store.
And while you may have stopped at the store as a matter of curiosity during your travels, most of the patrons drive there specifically to visit the store, thereby bringing people into this town who have nothing other on their mind except to satisfy a sexual desire.

This is a rural area. There are two driveways to individual homes LESS than 500 feet form the parking lot of the adult store. (google earth). The town grocery store is 520 FEET from this establishment. So much for WENDY’s claim of “no community at all.”

If I felt honestly this business was doing anything that would cause crime and or be of some issue to the community than I would say NO but there are no booths at this store and it sits right off the exit and is clearly marked as an ADULT STORE! So no I dont understand why the community is so upset. The store is not as you said “out of the way”. ITS CLEARLY at the exit and marked for all to see!

Two residents also began plans to build another small resturaunt. Then this guy “suddenly” decides to make a porn store. Very few of the porn store patrons utilize any ofthe towns ohter buisnesses. Instead, the town gets the type of people who get in their cars and drive 25,50 and even farther to buy their porn. Actually they are not the “type” of people who do this…they “ARE” the people who do this. Maybe you could print your name and city where you live here and they can come to your house.

Columbia has an excellent education department, but it is very rigorous to get into. If you can finish your bachelors there it is much easier to get in. But I have known others who have done their bachelors, and been wait listed a year to do a Masters program.
This is probably the one good thing that can come out of the economy we have now. People will go back to college, and colleges are a business, and they will start taking on bigger classes.
