Traci Lords is the most successful former porn star that has been mainstream for over two decades. Then Ginger Lynn, Ron Jeremy, and Marilyn Chambers. And if anyone says Traci is only still famous because of her scandal, that whole novelty would have worn off 18 years ago.
Traci was only accepted because she trashed the business and played the victim card. She’s a mededia actress at best and the “music” she put out was a joke. She’s C-list at best in hollywood.
Ginger Lynn is a better actress than Traci is should have gotten better roles. Likewise for Ashlyn Gere.
If Traci Lords is mainstream famous, Rick Fox is a thespian.
Traci is famous because she chose to be an underage pornstar and “victim”/izer; no other reason PSB. Mainstream companies who hire her use her notoriety similar to how she used sex and porn and dubious “victim” status. She’s gone on to minimal mainstream involvement, although I would still consider her famous. I love how she owns the only porn of her made after she finally turned 18, and how she waited until then so she could
suddenly declare that she’s a victim and rake money off the only Traci Lords video legal to sell. If Traci Lords is a victim than eskimos are experts at water polo.
Cassidey said it herself in Premier Magazine: No one ever gets into mainstream through porn.
If you do, you’re typecast as a hooker-stripper-bimbo. You will never have mainstream success, and that’s what we’re talking about, not a cameo in “Grandma’s Boy,” or “Knocked Up,” (playing a stripper).
