Eve Mayfair

I talk outside with Sita aka Eve Mayfair, 25.

Sita: "I saw Eon McKai's Kill, Girl, Kill. I emailed him and said 'I want to work with you.'

"It was just hot. It was people I hang out with."

Luke: "Are you a punk rock girl?"

Sita: "I'm not but it's the crowd I hang out with. I can relate to them."

Luke: "What in particular could you relate to?"

Sita: "You could just see that they were really enjoying themselves.

"I watch a lot of porn. Since I was 21. I'm now 25."

Sita has done just one porn scene - with Kurt Lockwood in Kill, Girl, Kill 3.

"I've considered [getting into porn] since I was 21. There were just a lot of things I needed to work out emotionally."

Luke: "What kind of crowd did you hang out with in highschool?"

Sita: "I didn't really hang out with a crowd in highschool [in San Francisco] because I have a lot of niches. Skaters. Metal-headers. Hippies. Rockers."

Luke: "Were you a good student?"

Sita: "Up until ninth grade. I moved out at age 15 and got emancipated."

Luke: "Why?"

Sita: "I just thought I could do a better job."

Luke: "There's a myth about porn stars that they come from troubled homes."

Sita: "I just had to drop out of highschool. When you want to get emancipated, you have to be emancipated. I got my GED at 17."

Luke: "What type of work have you been doing the past ten years?"

Sita: "Mostly secretarial."

Luke: "You look like a conventional girl."

Sita: "You should see me naked."

Sita has many tattoos and piercings that are not apparent when she's dressed normally.

She's worked as a stripper for three years. Along with about 60 other girls, she's one of the co-owners of San Francisco's Lusty Lady, one of the first cooperatively-owned peep shows.

Sita says sex work hasn't affected her view of men. "I like men. I like to put myself in an environment where I can be with them and be flirty."

Luke: "You don't think men are pigs?"

Sita: "Of course. But so am I."

Luke: "When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?"

Sita: "I wanted to be everything. A dancer, singer, model, actress, psychologist, journalist, novelist."

Luke: "Where do you see yourself in ten years?"

Sita's taken aback. "Oh." Long pause. "That's a long way from now. I'm just going to take it day by day."

Luke: "Do you believe that you have an eternal soul?"

Sita laughs: "I hope not."

I take a few pictures of Sita, who's smoking in the corner outside Sardo's. She has a different stage name every time I see her. Tonight it is Eve Mayfair.

Eve, 25, moved to LA less than a year ago. Before that she was a dancer in San Francisco. She also worked as a secretary at the San Francisco Chronicle. Now she works as a dominatrix a couple of nights a week in a dungeon (in a private home) in Culver City. She's a submissive. Patrons like to play slave-and-master with her.

There doesn't seem to be anything definite about the rest of her schedule. She's not into college as she finds it hard to concentrate on one subject for long.

When I summarize my conversation with her mother to Joanna Angel, she laughs. "I'd do this for free," says Joanna. "For a date with Malachi Ecks [production manager]. For macaroni and cheese."

Serena Sinn told me a few weeks ago that she was going to do anal so she could buy a puppy. I've heard more jokes about that than anything I've ever written.

Eve Mayfair says she's going to show this movie (Neu Wave Hookers) to her mom. She's that proud of it. "I don't think she would freak out but my brothers would. And you can't tell her anything without everyone finding out."

I arrive at Sardo's at 8:30 p.m. and find some temporary solace in Boethius until I can drown my sorrows in a heart-to-heart with Eve Mayfair who assists Lexington Steele's fiance Vanessa Blue with TheXXXGirl.com.

I tell her I spent my first two years in LA trying to make it as a mainstream actor. I failed completely. But that's OK. I was born to blog.

That's what Wesley Pipes and Cuntree tell me, and if anyone knows acting, it is those two gentlemen.

Eve says the TheXXXGirl.com agency doesn't book escorting or bachelor parties. "It's more like a management company. We have eight girls now."

Eve: "We would. No white girls have asked us to represent them. That's the way it was represented in a couple of articles -- an agency run by black girls for black girls. Great."

Eve and Vanessa are dark-skinned black girls. I'm not sure how they feel about the lighter-skinned girls, or those with yellowish or brown sheens. I'm sure they officially have a non-discriminatory policy but what's really go on in their heart?
