Irrelevant D-Lister Kathy Griffin slated to host 2020 not so relevant Gay Porn Awards

This really doesn’t come as a surprise. Fledgling awards show hires fledgling comic, and I use the word comic loosely. The Gay Porn Awards has been mired in controversy since it’s inception.  I won;t bre you with the details, its gay porn, so, I dount any of the LIB readers care. I will say the GPA’s dislike of everything Nica Noelle is the only reason I’m posting the PR. 🙂

Str8UpGayPorn is thrilled to announce that Grammy and Emmy-winning comedian, actress and activist Kathy Griffin will headline the much-anticipated Str8UpGay Summit and Str8UpGayPorn Awards in Hollywood this January.

Griffin will also give the conference’s keynote address on January 11, 2020. Griffin’s speech will focus on the importance of free speech battles waged by the industry, on the 50th anniversary of the legalization of porn, and her own first amendment battles. On January 12th, the following night, Griffin will host the Str8UpGayPorn Awards at the historic Avalon Theater.

Coming off the heels of the release of her first ever feature film, the award-winning docu-comedy Kathy Griffin: A Hell of Story, the gay icon and free speech activist has A LOT to say. The film won the Freedom of Speech Award at Michael Moore’s Traverse City Film Festival and received honors from the Downtown LA Film Festival, New York’s ENE Film Festival and New Mexico’s Way Out West Film Festival. The film is currently available in over 40 countries on Apple and Amazon and will be streaming worldwide through Prime Video beginning December 2, 2019.

Griffin’s keynote — at the Str8UpGay Summit the day prior — is her chance to speak out passionately and politically. For the past two years, Kathy has been rallying audiences to the importance of free speech everywhere from SXSW to Oxford University. In January, she brings that passion to her gay fan base.
The Str8UpGaySummit, the adult industry’s only gay business-to-business and business-to-consumer conference will take place January 9-11 at the W Hotel Hollywood just days before the gay industry’s biggest award show. The Summit will feature a chance for fans to meet with the most sought-after stars, brands and directors.

Adult stars, directors, executives, fans, as well as special celebrity guests will attend the Str8UpGayPorn Awards ceremony. The event will be streamed live exclusively on Str8UpGayPOrn on January 12, 2020, beginning at 8:30PM PST.

Str8UpGayPorn Co-Founder and Editor Zach Sire says he expects Griffin to kill, both at the Summit and the Award show.
