Mariah Milano Officially Retires From Porn
LOS ANGELES — Mariah Milano has officially retired from porn.
"I’m done," she said.
She began her career in January of 1998 has decided to hang it up after 14 years.
"I have had a good run," she said. "I’m healthy and disease-free and I’ve created a name for myself that I hope to continue on into other ventures. Mariah Milano is now a brand name and I have a very good opportunity to make good of my fan base for something bigger and better that I can be proud of."
Milano has recently started a cooking and travel site DinnerWithaPornstar.com.
"I do plan to shoot for my own site and do some cam shows for my members," she said. "I just won’t be filming with very many porn stars, if any."
Milano has done nearly 600 scenes and owns and operates her own network of websites and her own affiliate program PornStarPayday.com.
"I have plenty of work with event hosting and my sites and my cookbook with which I am about half way done. I haven’t shot a scene since 2011 which was for Seymore Butts so that’s a great way to go out, especially being for him and it was my first interracial anal scene. As well I just signed an agreement with British and German cable networks to do cooking segments weekly so I have a full plate."
The cable networks are independent of each other and broadcasts are set to begin this fall.
"I’m also working on a spokesmodel deal with a major U.S. company and should have that in place within the next few weeks which is very exciting. So I am more busy now than ever all with bigger and better projects that I am very proud of. I have enjoyed most of my porn career and can’t imagine where I would be today without it, but it’s time. I don’t want to be Brett Favre and play that game and just wish to say a sincere thank you to everyone who has hired me and appreciate every opportunity."

LOS ANGELES? What news paper/ site is ths from? It starts like its the L.A. Times, or something. Congrats on retiring but anyone, no matter who or how high up they are, who has to tell us they’re. a household name, makes wanna hurl. No offense but there should be no household porno names. The only household there should be are Charmin, Arm n Hammer and Mr. Clean (and I’m not talking about ChristianXXX, either). People don’ ___talk about porno people in the household unless its somene who killed somebody.
Mariah was the first girl I ever shot in my first attempt directing a porn movie over a dozen years ago and I can remember how ‘in love’ with her I was back in the day. Still am for that matter. Always a cut above the rest in my opinion. Smart girl and what a piece of ass!!!

so you don’t think that when you establish your “porn persona” that you because a brand name? that’s the reason Digital Playground owns the names of their contract stars because they will continue to market them long after they are no longer contracted. I have copyrighted my name and I think you are being a little naive to think that a person’s persona cannot be a brand.
