Nikki Delano Exclusive Interview

2012 Could Be the Year of Nikki Delano
By Natasha Badanov

Nikki Delano came on the scene last year and definitely made her mark—she’s already appeared in two parodies—“American Dad XXX” in 2011 and “El Gordo Y La Flaca XXX” that streets this week. XBIZ and the Galaxy Awards have nominated her for Best New Female Performer. And this week, she’s doing her second feature dancing appearance of the year at Club Mystique in Bridgeport, CT. And next week, she’ll be at the Porn Star Ball in Phoenix, AZ. 2012 could very well be the Year of Nikki Delano. We sat down and asked her some not so run of the mill questions and got to know this smoking hot Latina.

When you were growing up, what did you imagine you would be doing for a living?
As a child I grew up in a very strict regimented home, so I foresaw myself as teacher, doctor or lawyer. Parents usually instill white-collar jobs in the minds of their kid at an early age.

What’s a typical day for Nikki Delano?
A typical day for Nikki would be a big breakfast, filming, going to the gym, and enjoying quality personal time like taking a warm bubble bath alone to unwind. A typical day when I’m not shooting is usually sports-oriented. I love to keep busy and be very active.

I notice you’re feature dancing in Connecticut with Britney Amber next week. What do you like best about feature dancing?

I like to get on stage and perform a choreographed routine and engage the crowd. I love to dance—it’s one of my passions.

What’s you favorite music to dance to when featuring?
I usually put on mixed pop remakes that add zest to the original version of the song.

A lot of porn girls wait to have their own pay site. You got yours up quickly. How did that happen? And what do you like best about www.nikkidelano.com?
It was hard work and I spent a lot of time building content for it on my off time. The best part of my site is that it’s centered around me and fans can come check it out to get there daily dose of Nikki whether they read my blog, watch my movies, check me out on Streamate or scroll through my pictures.

Porn stars are often misunderstood. What’s a misconception about you that’s totally wrong? And why?
That I’m dumb and have no education. I went to a four-year university and have a degree in Forensic Psychology and Double Minor in Addiction Studies and Criminology.

You’ve become very successful in a short amount of time and made almost 75 movies, what do you think has made you so successful?
I have actually filmed over 100 films and what separates me apart is that I’m Latina, but I’m definitely not your typical Latin woman. I’m blonde, light-skinned and have green eyes. Also I have a muscular build.

When you’re doing a scene, what’s running through your mind?

What’s running through my mind when shooting a scene is hoping my fans will love it and want to come back for more of Nikki. My fans are very important to me.

How did you feel when you were nominated for the XBIZ Award for Best New Comer?

It was cool to be nominated for my hard work in the industry. It means the industry and the fans recognize that.

What was it like to attend your first AVN Award Show and AEE Tradeshow?

It was lots of fun and it meeting so many fans was great. The tradeshow was insanity but I loved it. It’s like an Exxxotica times 10! The awards show was also a blast and I enjoyed dressing up and walking the red carpet. Hopefully, next year, I’ll receive a nomination or two.

Who’s been your favorite performer (or performers) to work with?
Cathy Heaven! She’s a European porn star from Budapest. She has a similar body frame and is also fitness-oriented—and we look great on film together. We shot a girl-girl erotica scene together for HBO.

What advice would you give a new girl just entering the industry?

It’s not easy to be a performer and you need to be mentally strong and levelheaded. You will lose friends, your family will frown upon you, peers will turn there back on you and you will definitely encounter some shady people in the business.

What’s something you want to do on screen that you haven’t done yet?
Anal. I have not shot anal on film yet so that’s my next move in the business.

Are you going mainstream anytime soon?
Yes, I’m going to be in a mainstream movie called “Hallow Pointe”, which I’m very excited about.

Do people recognize you in the street? If they do, what’s your reaction?
Yes, they have, especially when I’m on vacation in Vegas. They get all hyper and goo-goo-gaga. But I love it, because it makes me feel complete knowing they’re watching my movies.

What’s the craziest thing a fan has ever asked you?

Would you suck my small penis, and then bite it? LOL That’s one of the funniest gestures that I’ve heard.

Best pick-up line ever used on you?

None, I just like a confident man with charisma and charm, that’s a deal stealer.

You played Shakira in a recent parody of the El Gordo Y La Flaca talk show. How did you prepare for that? Did you have to study Spanish for the role?

I’m Latina so I know Spanish, but I also memorized a script. I also hired a choreographer to get Shakira’s moves down pact.

If you weren’t doing porn, what would you be doing?
Probably be back in school getting my nursing degree.

What other events do you have coming up soon?

Exxxotica, feature dance tours, shooting, filming the mainstream movie, etc.

Look in your crystal ball? What do you see in the future for Nikki Delano?

Lots of success and prosperity in anything that I decide to do because I’m hardworking and disciplined.

  1. Michael Whiteacre says:

No mention of this little gremlin’s support of the .xxx sTLD.

  2. And I thought she was supposed to be smart?

  3. Michael Whiteacre says:

You’d think a forehead that large would indicate a sizable brain, yes.

  4. Cool interview. This petite little diva is quite the powerhouse! I didn’t know she was traditionally college/university educated – GOOD FOR HER!

That actually explains why she’s had the good sense to get on board with the more progressive adult industry issues – I remember when I saw her featured in the Brazzer’s “Get Rubber” campaign video – smart move – she’s pro SAFE SEX!

Also the fact that she appears to be on board with Nina Mercedes in the .xxx movement tells me that she has enough sense to realize that if the porn industry is going to continue in a positive direction – protecting the children is VITAL and that’s exactly what .xxx seems to be in agreement with 🙂

Her “large forehead” definitely indicates a sizable and functioning brain – actually a “large forehead” is said to be an indicator of aristocratic genetics – I have a feeling that this pint sized sexy Latina comes from a beautiful and diverse ethnic genepool.

It’s interesting that Whiteacre is so fixated actually on “large foreheads” – I suppose he’s attracted to such a trait considering his raving comments about Alektra Blue. She has a large forehead as well. Come to think of it so does Shyla Stylez and Kayden Kross. Maybe Whiteacre fancies himself as having quite the sizable brain considering his massave forehead…I hate to be a kill-joy, but I must note that a RECEDING HAIRLINE is not the same as a naturally high hairline…

  5. Seriously Monica you can’t see how bad the .xxx is for porn? Once they get all porn sites moved to the .xxx the various govts. can then instantly block all .xxx domains and bye bye to gettting porn in that country. The idiots that jumped on board the .xxx did so for the quick money they can make and to hell with future porn workers getting paid.

  6. “Seriously” Karmafan – I see EXACTLY what the .xxx domain system will accomplish. It will not only enable countries that deem what’s good for their society to block material that would dramatically alter their current and future social structure and mentality – it will enable parents of more liberal countries to purchase software or operating systems that can more effectively block material that will corrupt the minds of their children.

Anyone who WANTS to view porn who is OF AGE and social standing, can easily reside (relocate if necessary) to a place of which they can view it. As of current the porn industry is dependent upon addicting the minds of people of age (and of the youth) via free material (tube sites) of which they may unwittingly come across. Porn has become a psychological drug whether you want to acknowledge it or not.

As for your reference to “future porn workers” – I must laugh… Are you referring to? The talent? If so as long as Pamela Peaks (illegal IF true prostitution is occurring via her appointments – I have no proof so I can’t say) and Dennis Hoff (legal) are in business the porn talent will not go hungry. As long as webcam outlets are running the talent will be OK. The talent still surviving at this stage is NOT hurt by countries blocking porn – wanna know why? WE DO NOT RECEIVE RESIDUALS! You get paid for the scene on the spot as a talent a ONE TIME FEE and that is IT!

Now if you’re referring to distributors, studios, agents, etc – yes unless they are TOP NOTCH providing TO NOTCH services or skills they may have to find an alternate stream of income in time.

It seems to me that anyone or any business entity that does NOT support .xxx is essentially an anarchist in the making. “Seriously” – what type of individual does not acknowledge the well meaning intentions of the governing body of a country?

Oh I forgot – I guess the FSC (Free Speech Coalition) doesn’t even through the USA flag is a part of their logo of which they “oh so proudly” display. I guess Manwin doesn’t either – I suppose that’s why they’ve filed a lawsuit against .xxx – afterall why should the fat fuck non-US based company owner Fabian Thylmann want to protect the youth of America – even though he’d have nothing if it weren’t for the youth of America which grew up and decided to become talent within the world of American porn.

Respect the law, respect the governing powers that be or GET THE FUCK OUT and take your foreign born asses back to where you came from.

  7. Nikki is hard working and responsible…. she went above and beyond on the El Gordo y La Flaca movie, taking the initiative to go spend a couple days with a dance instructor ( and pay out of her own pocket ) to learn some dance moves from a Shakira video. Nikki is a pretty girl and a wonderful person… end of story.

@Michael come on man.. you know she was probably advised to ” cover her bases” just like all of the industry “insiders” have advised me to do regarding .xxx

  8. Michael Whiteacre says:

@RomanT – She’s an adult, and chose to do what only a handful of performers did: to not only aquire a .xxx site, but to actively promote what is essentially an extortion scheme. Presumably she, like those few others, accepted payment to do this.

I’m glad to hear she’s industrious, and you have the right to hire anyone you like, particularly when a role calls for unique skills/features. Me personally — if I were shooting xxx content, I’d never hire someone who has sided against my interests and partnered with my enemy. It’s a matter of personal choice and individual conscience. I pointed out her affiliation as an informational resource to producers and others. They can do with this information as they wish.

As for following the advice of “insiders,” it would be one thing for a performer to acquire a .xxx domain defensively, to protect their name “brand,” but facilitating extortion is a diffirent thing altogether.

  9. So Monica down the road a year or five after everyone has been switched to a .xxx domain some Christian Mafia politician comes along and introduces a bill to ban all .xxx sites from the internet here in the US (or some other countries).

Think it won’t happen? Guess again as our country is very quickly turning into a facist state. (Ten years ago who would have ever thought that the porn industry would be forced to require condoms on all scenes shot in CA)?

It is going to happen sooner or later. Once our do gooder gets his/her bill passed its lights out for all the cam girls and folks will be stuck buying their porn DVDs from web sites to get their porn fix.

Oh wait can’t do that either because all those sites are also .xxx and they have been banned as well. So the girls supporting and encouraging folks to get .xxx domains are simply buying their own rope with a noose attached at one end.

  10. Third Axis says:

@MonicaFoster says: “It seems to me that anyone or any business entity that does NOT support .xxx is essentially an anarchist in the making. “Seriously” – what type of individual does not acknowledge the well meaning intentions of the governing body of a country?”

And: “Respect the law, respect the governing powers that be or GET THE FUCK OUT and take your foreign born asses back to where you came from.”

I don’t even know where to start to address this level of blind, delusional, nationalistic idiot-ology…

Well-meaning intentions? Every reader with a thimbleful of grey matter is laughing his/her ass off.

  11. OMG Karmafan – you are RIGHT! If some well meaning Christian fundamentalist comes along in 5 or 6 years (maybe less) and succeeds in getting the USA to ban accessibility to the .xxx domain porn world will come to an end!

Well, at least almost an end. I suppose the phenomenon of people purchasing porn on physical media would make a comeback…DVD, blueray, etc – and GOD FORBID people would have to ORDER their porn via printed catalogues – I guess the “imaginary” Francesco would suddenly have a new stream of projects to complete via his printing company FBonline…(Anthony Kennerson)

If ONLY there was a sole renegade “think outside the box” kind of mad scientist that could possibly oppose the future “Christian Anti-Porn Oppressors”…

But who could that be? So many people in and attached to porn don’t believe in God or Jesus. So many are openly down with the devil and brazenly post their love of Satanism and Aleister Crowly. OH THE EVIL! OH THE HORROR! Even little Kayden Kross who went to a Christian Academy has renounced her believe in OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.

DAMNED with the Los Angeles porn industry the masses will say in 5 to 6 years (or less) JUST LIKE how they said DAMNED with ROCK and ROLL (almost happened in 1955)….

But wait – what if there was a solution – WHAT IF there were suddenly Christian approved porn? ChristianPorn….hmmmm ChristianPornstar …. hmmmm

    http://www.ChristianPornstar.com

21 commandments. Get wit it. Get crazy. Be in it to win it.

Otherwise there’s always Canada – yea, it’s freezing cold but hey, it’s there and isn’t that where ya’ll are from?

  12. Ohhh, and keep in mind, in 1955 it was MUSIC that was the issue – not porn (which is far more potent of a matter).

On top of that people had race to use in their case – back then it was a bunch of young hip talented black peeps that were the “problem”. The LA porn industry is so bad that you have a bunch of old ass WHITE DUDES that have been pin-pointed as the problem.

When old ass white guys with money who run an industry are seen as the problem and are about to be banned and hung – it’s just about hopeless. hehehehehe

  13. Monica I would seriously like to smoke whatever you are smoking lately. You must get some great weed.

  14. RobfromMarketing says:

So much for hating being the “Kill-joy,” Monica.

  15. Third Axis says:

Monica, there is no “problem” with the porn industry or the people who ostensibly (in your mind at least) “run” it. The old issue of obscenity/censorship has been around since the invention of the printing press, and has been aimed at the publishing, music, film, and television industries almost since day one, so no news there. The more conservative a free society’s views become, the more extreme its arts become to challenge the oppressors of that freedom. Same as it ever was. Embrace evolution, hon.

Separately, the condom issue is so minor an irritant, I’m surprised that it’s being given such gravitas among adult forums and the press at large. Porn is a vast, worldwide enterprise, and what happens in Los Angeles or even California is almost insignificant in the broader context.

You state that “ninety percent” of the adult industry is run by “criminals, Mafia types,” which is the dumbest generalization I’ve heard, and just plain false. Your limited experience in the industry (yes, I’m familiar with your work resume) certainly wouldn’t give you any such far-reaching insight to make a sweeping declaration like that. There are all types of individuals working in and driving the porn economy: college kids, moms and dads, single entrepreneurs, and large corporations. Yes, and even criminals; however, not the percentage you erroneously state. Please direct me to any industry, entertainment or otherwise, that doesn’t have its share of criminal involvement. How about any level of government — local, state, and federal?

On a global scale, within a global industry, your itty-bitty Christian squeaking is mere static on the airwaves. But knock yourself out, anyway.
