I understand that there are rumors circulating concerning the identity of "Patient Zero." If the rumors are true, the last time I shot this particular individual was on August 19. That person had a valid negative test.
There has been a lot of false information circulating about this situation. I want to be clear that there is absolutely no truth to any of the statements about my filming this performer with a positive test. I would never, ever shoot anyone with a positive test, even if they claimed it was a "false positive." I make no exceptions.
Please put an end to this vicious and harmful rumor.
Our lawyers are CC’ed in this e-mail and have verified the documentation.

The rumor was idiotic in the first place.
So now the $2 billion question is: how long was it since “Patient Zero” was tested negative before he shot that content?
I really do hope for Brazzers’ sake that they had a policy of not just relying on 30-day old tests, because a hell of a lot can happen between now and then.
Personally, I think that performers should be required to post at least 5-day or even 2-day old clean tests for HIV, and regular monthly exams cleared by actual medical professionals, in order to be cleared for shoots. You could even finance it through a special fund split between performer and producer contributions.
If Weinstein didn’t have his head so far down Lifestyle’s latex, even he’d see this as a good idea…far superior than merely mandating condoms.

The fact is the rumor wasn’t idiotic, it wouldn’t be the first time something like that happened and that rumor has come from SO many unrelated sources since DAY ONE.
My source was actually VERY close to the situation and there was speculation that Brazzers would distance themselves from Blake.
It’s unclear exactly where the rumor started but it appears that the initial info came straight from Brazzers.
Trey/Tyler isn’t saying anything, I expect this story to get bigger.
I’m talking about the specific allegation, Mike, that a test result said “false positive”. Even the claim that a producer accepted a test which said “positive” is absurd, although possible.
I once said a dumb joke on the set before a scene. “I think my results are good. It says ‘positive’. Just kidding”. They didn’t think it was funny.

This all reeks, if there isnt a positive test I think Brazzers’ enemies are playing a game. Doesnt Donkey have a relative at TTS, which I assume does most of the Florida area tests?

There are serious medical privacy issues here, and that is why it is extremely unwise to speculate about ANY of the patient’s information. It was the exposure/revelation of information of this type that got AIM sued.
This is a serious matter, for the patient in question and for all of those potentially infected, and much of the info that has been published thus far has been speculative in nature.
Everybody is curious, and everybody wants answers, but right now the ONLY people that NEED to know anything are those potentiality directly affected by this situation.
That said, I’m confident that an accurate timeline will be revealed, to the extent legally permissible, as soon as possible. Medical and legal people are working on it now.
Name the performer already so the religious right can hold up their “God Hates F*gs” signs and so we can back to work. Mom’s have mouths to feed!
Oh I see now Jeremy and yer right it didnt say “false positive” theres no way. The testing used is unclear and the only thing we know is that he had at least one positive test, word is that he was confirmed positive today via the Western Blot.
Now I realize you may argue that HIV is little more than a catch all and a political tool used for various purposes and many of those points are indeed valid.
What concerns me is the total disregard for the health of the people he worked with AFTER knowing he had tested positive.
I tell ya what else I would bet you, I would bet you that this isn’t the first time this happened.
You are correct Mike: using labs that have no protocols for incidents such as this, nor any proper medical follow-up for patients DOES demonstrate a level of disregard for the safety and well-being of performers (both initially and in terms of those potentially exposed by the patient in question). If we are to get to the bottom of this, in order to ensure this situation is not repeated, we need to know 1) an accurate timeline, and 2) which lab did the original test (that yielded a positive result — or a non-negative result) and the first confirmatory test. In all likelihood they are the same lab.
Speaking of disregard for health… there’s a reason that one of the meanings of “doctor” is to falsify.

HIV may or may not have been isolated. The “discoverer” of HIV was put on trial for scientific misconduct twice. HIV is claimed to cause 29 various old diseases which have nothing to with each other and had other causes. The test to ascertain you have HIV has a disclaimer which says other tests are needed, but all tests say other tests are needed. And then if you test positive, it’s drugs, baby, drugs. If HIV won’t kill you the drugs are sure to. Bring me back to the Dark Ages when people were more enlightened.
