Slave, Wars, Napoleon, Haiti, & Women’s Abortion Rights, or Lack of…

( NL-I designed the picture, my husband says it looks like me, I think that’s very sweet of him, but in my opinion you would have to add 10 years, 30 pounds, bigger boobs and glasses ,lol)

NL- This is some excelllent writing. I’d like to keep Mr @porn_valley around. Please give him your feedback

I’m writing this under duress. I’m of the mind that, in this case, my opinion doesn’t matter no matter what I say because I have a penis. There, I’ve said it, I have a penis and what I say about what a woman has a right to do with her uterus, boobs, vagina or anything else should not be up to me.

I mean we’ve been through this before. The white boy Christopher Columbus went to Hispaniola (Haiti and Dominican Republic) and began the systematic wipe out of an entire population of two million brown people through enslavement, child sex slaves for pedophiles and other unseemly accounts. The few thousand who escaped to Puerto Rico were all that were left.

We did it again with just those on Haiti. We decided how a country of black people should act. In 1804, during the first successful slave revolt in the world, Napoleon’s army was crushed by the people of Haiti. Napoleon had planned to build his world empire in Louisiana with the proceeds from the sugar colonies in Haiti but without the sugar, and with a possible war with Britain, he decided to sell the land to the United States for a measly three cents an acre – The Louisiana Purchase. So how did we thank Haiti? Our government feared that their slave uprising could be contagious and that enslaved Africans around the world would rebel – Our Congress joined France and Spain in banning trade and boycotting Haiti and crippling their economy unless they made reparations to France for fighting their enslavement and pushing out French Plantation owners.

In 1820, South Carolina Senator Robert Hayne said, “Our policy with regard to Haiti is plain. We can never acknowledge her independence," because of the fear that Haiti could inspire slave revolts and end slavery worldwide. So Haiti cripples its own economy for nearly 100 years by paying France 90 million gold Francs for their freedom at steep French bank rates instead of building their own community and economy.

Let us not forget our own slaves but let us not limit our description to just blacks.

Women also didn’t have rights even though they made up half the population.

Is it that much of a difference? White men oppressing blacks ~ White men oppressing women so they’d stay slaves to their husbands or fathers or even brothers.

It’s always "white men" causing the problems.

In recent months, Governors and Congresses of red states have attempted to pass more laws to limit women’s freedoms – to go against federal laws that protect those freedoms. You think it can’t happen? You think your right to vote is guaranteed? You’re sadly mistaken. You think your right to do what you want with your body when it comes to abortion is guaranteed? Think again.

Why are all these laws being put forth now you ask? Because those same white men who have been fighting to take away your rights realize that their new laws will be challenged and end up in front of the newly minted Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court these days is leaning FAR Right in it’s decisions and all that The People have fought for for the last 200 years is up for grabs. John Robert’s court is the MOST dangerous challenge to all women’s rights.

Louisiana’s House just passed a law today that they hope will be challenged and sent to the Supreme Court. Those conservatives want to challenge Roe V Wade.

Let’s give you some basic history or Roe V Wade that you may not understand. The Republicans and Christian FundaMENTALists (emphasis on the "mental")are always screaming that Roe V Wade is about abortion. That’s actually not true. Abortion isn’t the condition to them, it’s the disease. In other words, they changed the argument. I know, surprising that Republicans would lie, huh.

Have you ever read the actual court decision? Well you should. The decision had NOTHING to do with abortion, it had to do with a woman’s right to choose what to do with her body.

Now think about that.

I’m no defender of Octomom but do you think the State should have the right to take her uterus? I’m no fan of over population but do you think a bunch of white men in suits should have the right to tell you that you can have only one child like they did in China?

So that’s why I don’t have the right to tell women whether they can or can’t have an abortion. I’ve played the "white knight" character before and I’m sorry I did it. I have a penis so I should have no right to tell thgose who have uteruses what to do with them.

Maybe it’s because I’m the only boy with four sisters that makes me believe that. That white men sitting in any Congress in any statehouse shouldn’t have the right to make laws that supress the rights of The People who they have nothing in common with.

I mean, who the fuck do they think they are? God? Even God says "Judge not, lest ye be judged," so that means they don’t have the right to take away your rights because of religious reasons.

Yet those bloated old white boys continue to do so.

Today, the Louisiana House made a law that says you can NOT do what you want with your body. They have now said that in Louisiana you may NOT get an abortion for ANY reason. The Republican Governor, Bobby Jindal, has an out. The state would lose millions defending it and lose possibly billions in federal aid for not following federal law. In this economy that would be very costly

But as I said, I have a penis so it’s not even right for me to tell them that they’re wrong. I have a penis so I don’t have the right to tell them that they’re right. Not to mention the fact that I’m not in Louisiana.

But you there… yes, you with the vagina and uterus… You have a mouth also.  You have vocal chords don’t you? If you’re in Louisiana, call your Senators, your one Congressional representative, your in state representatives, Governor Bobby Jindal’s office and tell them ALL that they are NOT going to last if this law sees the light of day. And that you WILL find a way to recall them.

Then, I want you to withhold that vagina of yours until your man makes a phone call too because if you think those old fat white men are going to listen to some chick, you’re nuts. Because you’re only a woman… under the constitution you don’t have the right to vote, or to work for equal pay or to even work, or to own land. The Republicans in office now are NOT the Republicans under your Daddy’s party.

Heck, under the Constitution you don’t have any rights to anything that was written after 1783.

Unless you fight to keep them.

  1. We all but wiped out the native culture here when we came to America. We exterminated the Native Americans and their culture. They are getting a small measure of revenge now with all their casinos all over america but its not the same.

Regarding Haiti don’t forget that the Hatian people themselves exploited their own people with leaders that took the money the poor Hatians made as well as donations from around the world and sent it to offshore accts. like Baptiste has done.

I used to donate to charities around the world. But over the years I gave up on that (although I did donate some $$$ to the Relief for Japan fund) because all too often the money never gets to the people its supposed to. All the folks that donated to USA for Africa and other charities the food, money, and medical supplies didn’t always end up where they did the most good. They ended up on the black market or some warlords bank. A waste of my hard earned money.

I also donated to the United Way for many years until it came to light the head of the United Way gets paid +$200,000 a year salary. So it is hard to help folks when you don’t know where the money and help really goes.

You said, “Haiti don’t forget that the Hatian people themselves exploited their own people with leaders that took the money the poor Hatians made as well as donations from around the world and sent it to offshore accts.”
That statement may be over simplified. You have to read the history of Haiti to understand how the US has forced the People of Haiti to have corporations take over their land and rape it for anything they could.

In 1915 Woodrow Wilson sent US forces to Haiti to prevent France or Germany from taking control of the Panama Canal. Haiti had heavy debt at the time and Germany controlled most of the country’s trade. We installed a head of state in Haiti, Philippe Sudre Dartiguenave, then forced a treaty on the country that allowed US occupation, controlled the Haitian government and finances, and disbanded Haiti’s military – Just like what 43 did in Iraq. Then we created the only law enforcement, called the Gendarmerie, who enforced slavery under the guise of “conscripted labor.” Then we drafted their new constitution that forced Haiti to allow foreign corporations to own land in their country when their previous constitution did not. When the Haitian legislature tried to reverse the treaty so they could have control of their government and get their land back and impeach the US installed leader, Dartiguenave, Dartiguenave ordered the US Marines to dissolve the legislature. Angered by the forced labor, Haitians rebelled and took control of the region in the Massif du Nord. US forces were called in to repress the slave rebellion and they killed over 3,000 Haitians by 1920.

In 1922, Woodrow Wilson appointed General John H. Russell as high commissioner and Louis Borno as president because Dartiguenave refused to recognize debt owned by Citibank (then US-owned National City Bank) which controlled Haiti’s National Bank and railroad (built with slave labor). Russell forces Haiti to repay foreign debt.

In 1956, Duvalier became president and declared a dictatorship in 1964. Duvalier learned how to repress the people of Haiti from growing up during the US occupation during World War I. Duvalier died in 1971 but the family dictatorship remained in power until 1986. Then in 1990 Aristide became president and worked to repair his nations problems for a short time before, in 1991, under Bush 41, a CIA-backed military junta overthrew him. In 1994, under Clinton and the Democratic congress, a US led UN intervention puts Aristide back in power. In 1996, after years of suppressing their country, the US and Republican congress puts in a $1.2 billion Emergency Economic Recovery Plan (EERP) – owned by banks. It included a corporatist’s dream of slave wages, reduced corporate taxes and selling of state owned business to private entities. In other words, a Fascist enterprise that suppressed the people. Then the government was forced to abolish taxes on trade from the US, which undermined Haiti’s livestock and agricultural production further depressing the economy and deteriorating the living conditions of the already poor.

After 2001 Aristide worked with Cuba and Venezuela to help his people. Around the same time, 43 and the Republican congress convinced several countries to end credit until Aristide agreed to recognize a corporatists/Fascists power in the government that were controlled by Haitian corporatists and US right-winged fundamentalists. The US created a paramilitary group that would be used to overthrow Aristide.

In 2003, Aristide is forced to pay millions in odious debt that was acquired under the dictatorship of the Duvalier family. This forces an end to social programs and oil subsidies further depressing the economy of Haiti. Later that year, Aristide demands France pay back the debt that Haiti was forced to pay after they had thrown them out of their country 200 years before. The amount of almost $22 Billion could finally pull Haiti out of poverty but not if right-winged corporatists have their say. In early 2004 the fruit of that CIA created paramilitary group led by a former Duvalier death-squad leader takes Northern Haiti and threatens to overthrow Aristide. The “second face” of the Bush administration offered to take Aristide and his family out of the country and did so under gun – more akin to a kidnapping. He was held under guard by US soldiers in the Central African Republic.

Please don’t get me wrong. I understand that Aristide was corrupt and had a corrupt police force, but change was happening for the people of Haiti and he was trying to reduce corruption. He disbanded the military making life in general better for his people. He made health care more available and increased education and adult literacy. He doubled the minimum wage, added legal protections for those accused of crimes, prohibited human trafficking and improved human rights and freedoms.

In short, the French have enslaved Haiti once to aid corporations. The US has enslaved them twice to aid corporations. The US has forced corporate power on them three times and punished them for odious objectionable debt three times, twice of which was forced on them by the US and/or other banking countries. And the US has changed the laws of Haiti to suppress them and aid US corporations three times. Other countries have also participated in manipulating Haiti and now, all the mainstream media is wondering why Haiti is so poor. Because corporate power and US manipulation has kept them poor for more than 200 years!

You seem to have a vast knowledge of the history and going-ons of Haiti. My question is, what do you attribute to the success of the Dominic Republic (neighbors on the island of Hispanoila [sp?]) to the relative instability in Haiti? Especially in the last 20-30 years?

  5. Does US policy (or lack of) toward the Dominican Republic play a role in your view?

  6. Michael Whiteacre says:

Normally I’d wear a condom, but then I thought: When am I gonna be in Haiti again?

  7. My favorite line when a chick tries to make me Jimmy-up… ‘Condom?! Where are we, Africa?!’

  8. Or the best (possibly worst) line I ever heard while boning… Me,’Come one, let me take the condom off, I’m clean.’, her, ‘Yeah, but I don’t know if I am…’
Rock hard wood to silly putty in less than a second…

  9. Michael Whiteacre says:

Dominican Republic was part of Haiti until the mid 1800s when they claimedf independence. They wrote a Constitution similar to the US and were welcomed. In world war 1 they were largely spared because they didn’t actually face the Panama canal.

I also owe it to the fact my second cousin is the current president and did a damn good job.

  11. @Porn_valley

So basically, your advocating the idea that good governence is what allowed the Dominican Republic to be successful compared to Haiti? Do you think that good governence would be enough to pull Haiti out of ‘choas’? Do you think Rule of Law is the biggest hurdle for Haiti, or corruption, or a combination of both? I guess ultimately what I’m curious about, is if you think Haiti would be better off if the US, diplomatically, took more of a hands off approach?

You seem well versed in the politics of Hispanoala and Im just curious what someone who has an intelligent background in the area thinks of these issues.
