In pertinent part: “The issue of mandatory condoms has come before the state legislature a number of times and has failed. When AIDS Healthcare Foundation attempted to sue L.A. County for not requiring condoms, the lawsuit was dismissed and the County referred to STI’s in adult productions as a ‘non issue.’ And, the L.A. City attorney has already advised against using the permitting process to mandate condoms. Moreover, Cal/OSHA is currently conducting fact-finding hearings on the issue in which the adult entertainment industry is actively involved. It is absurd to be wasting the Council’s time and resources on an issue that is currently under consideration by the state.” But, you know, as long as Shelley Lubben can syphon off enough tax-exempt contributions to fill up her gas tank, she’s more than willing to come stomp her feet, “testify,” and waste out taxpayer dollars.
One more thing — as a practical matter, this is pure BS because 1) there are PLENTY of studios within the LA studio zone for people to shoot at (studio shoots don’t require permits), and 2) there are plenty of location owners who are willing to rent locations without permits in this tough economy. This whole plan is an epic FAIL. AHF, Weinstein, and his BFFs can suck it.
Oh, and, Michael, Whitney and Brian — I’m not done with you boiz by a damn sight.
The only thing this report will prompt is another anti-gay rant from the Donkey.

What’s Weinstein’s stand on the Gay side of the biz, they are supposed to use condoms but often go barebacking, they use HIV positive performers who are supposed to work with condoms, but they seldom test their performers because of pc. Weinstein’s stated position on ALL porn is that non-condom porn “sends the wrong message” (that the only hot sex is bareback sex).
He objects to THE CONTENT and seeks to have the government censor the content (or, more precisely, to have the government FORCE people engaging in free speech to alter their message).
The folks in SF already dislike him, for myriad reasons. That’s why he’s running his HIV/AIDS organization out of Hollywood.
Making lots of money running a non-profit organization also sends the wrong message. I also don’t like looking at AHF’s fuckin billboards everywhere loudly confronting us with messages like “Do it (get tested)for Mom” and other crap!
