FSC Moves Ahead with Plans for Production Health & Safety Services

As a result of conversations with adult industry producers, agents and performers, and in response to the closing of AIM, the Free Speech Coalition’s Board of Directors has voted to support the creation of APHSS (Adult Performers Health and Safety Services). This entity will focus on performer health and safety and coordinate heath protocols and services for adult productions. Included in this effort will be:
Selection of high quality, industry-friendly and affordable testing and treatment facilities for adult performers
Provision of a secure database to provide information to performers and producers on performer availability based on industry protocol
Provision of resources for compliance with workplace safety procedures for producer
Provision of training about STI prevention and treatment for performers
Creation of a six-person advisory board to assist with adult production health and safety policy and oversight. The Board will consist of three performers, one attorney, one sexual health expert and one producer
Coordination of industry practices and protocols concerning health and safety for adult productions
FSC next week will announce the time and date for a combined meeting of producers, directors, performers and agents. The details of APHSS will be discussed at that meeting as well as APHSS’ expected launch date.
Wow the new 6 man board will have 1/2 their members performers. I wonder how they will choose who will be on the board? Hopefully it will be people that actually will be looking out for the talent’s well being.
I nominate Max Hardcore, Brian Surewood, and Jack Venice.
I wonder if they’ll obey the current standards and use condoms? Condoms ARE mandated. Any comments from the FSC if they will be obeying the law now?
@slubben – Here’s a better idea: how about a defamation lawsuit against you and Pink Cross by FSC over your comments on the Covenant Eyes radio broadcast (and elsewhere) that performers are told and “groomed” to lie in court (where they’d be under oath) and elsewhere by FSC, and that performers would “be killed” if they spoke out against or publicly contradicted FSC? Or your statement on video that FSC supports, encourages and promotes child pornography, statutory rape and pedophilia? Keep talking, Shelley.
As for the condoms issue, what you Fundies don’t seem to grasp is that one of the great things about our democratic republic is that we have the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances. FSC is currently working with OSHA to come up with a set of rules that are industry-appropriate. As I’ve tried to get through your thick head time and again, laws and regulations get changed all the time. Laws and regs are found to be improper or unconstitutional ALL THE TIME. At one time in this country, you could buy and sell human beings, the sale of narcotics was unregulated, women could not vote, and in many places black people had to ride at the back of the bus. Just because something is currently embodied in a law or regulation does not make it right, or proper, or constitutional, or enforceable.
And finally, the it’s not up to FSC to “obey the current standards and use condoms.” FSC is not a production company. Why should anyone listen to you when you have absolutely no idea what the heck you’re talking about?
On another note, Happy Mother’s Day, Shelley — regardless of our differences, I believe every mother who works hard to raise a family deserves our respect, if only for that.

Shelley should shoot some footage of her XXX date with Ron Jeremy(which cost her and the PC more money than my rent) and release it on DVD. Then she would qualify as a performer and can have her dream job.
@Fartz – Better yet, she should start explaining to the anti-AIM cabal why she outed the conspirators in her latest pathetic attempt to satisfy her pathological need for attention (a.k.a. her latest PR, in which she asserts that “AHF, Pink Cross Foundation, [UCLA’s] RHIG, UCLA School of Public Health and Los Angeles Public Health” worked “tirelessly to see the mafia-ruled clinic shut down”).
The only entities which (publicly) “fought tirelessly” to shut down A HEALTH CLINIC were AHF and Pink Cross — all the rest were supposedly either working to examine the state of affairs and make recommendations to policymakers, OR seeking compliance from AIM.
Publicly, that is. . . .
