Database for Fox Employees Hacked, then Leaked
By Chris O’Shea on May 10, 2011 12:45 PM from http://www.mediabistro.com/

Last night an Internet hacking group called Lulz Security hacked a database containing Fox Broadcasting employees’ passwords and emails, then leaked them online via its Twitter account. Lulz also took over a Fox affiliate’s Twitter, and began tweeting items like the one pictured here.

According to Gawker, this is only the beginning for Lulz:

Lulz Security appears to have hacked and stolen a lot of information from Fox.com, and they’re releasing it slowly for maximum effect… They’re going to keep leaking every Monday, they say. And considering how these sorts of breaches often snowball as hackers jump from one database to the next, there could be some interesting stuff coming out.

If you work for Fox, it might be time to change your password from “1234567″ to something a little more complicated.

  1. Michael Whiteacre says:

I think AHF’s Michael Weinstein should start bemoaning the faulty “business model” of FOX and Sony — after all, he made it sound like only AIM Healthcare could be so negligent as to have its database hacked. What a miserable sack of shit.

  2. Menachem Schneerson says:

Right on, FSC/AIM hack! Sainted AIM is being unfairly criticized! bwaaaaaaaaaaahaha

  3. Michael Whiteacre says:

@Schneerson – Now I’m an AIM hack, too? Tell me, what did I ever receive from AIM that would put me so firmly in Mitch’s pocket?

And yes, when, in this day and age, one acts as if it is so incredibly unheard-of that AIM’s database could be hacked, that constitutes unfair criticism and grandstanding which strain credulity.

  4. Haha. Fucking Anon. It’s amazing that while society sits down and either eats up or ignores Fox, there’s idiots on keyboards fucking them over just because it’s “lulzy”.
