I wanted to make sure that members and performers of the porn industry are aware there is a Standard Boards meeting in Van Nuys tomorrow March 17 at 10 am on the status of Petition 513, an amendment proposed to modify the current Bloodborne Pathogen Standard in the adult film industry.
I know that past attending members of the porn industry have received notification of the meeting but just wanted to lovingly remind them so they don’t complain later that no one told them.
Please will you tell them that Shelley wanted to personally remind them?

Okay, so let’s get this straight:
1) Shelley Lubben put out the call for current performers to attend this (inconsequential) OSHA meeting, while
2) FSC told performers who had attended in the past to wait until the June meeting, and then
3) no current performers came to the meeting,
Doesn’t this actually reflect rather poorly on Shelley Lubben? Doesn’t it clearly demonstrate that she, “the champion” of adult industry workers, in reality has no constituency within the adult performer community?
No wonder Lubben is so anxious to spin this meeting another way: she “lovingly” reminded people to attend and, one would assume, either support or learn more about her drive for HER vision of performer safety — and NOT ONE came out to hear or support her.
