LOS ANGELES — The industry’s biggest business awards show of the year is set to rock the Hollywood Palladium as the top stars and luminaries from the world of adult entertainment converge to walk the red carpet at the 2011 XBIZ Awards show on Feb. 9. The show will be hosted by Digital Playground contract star Jesse Jane and comedy star Whitney Cummings.
Each year, the star-studded event attracts A-list movers and shakers of the adult entertainment industry hosting industry icons such as Hustler founder Larry Flynt. "We look forward each year to the XBIZ Awards and the anticipation of hopefully again bringing some of them back to the office. But mainly we appreciate the accolades that come from being nominated and the opportunity for the adult entertainment industry to get together and celebrate all our achievements over the past year," Flynt said.
Since its beginning, the XBIZ Awards has grown into a mega gala event seducing the media and generating tidal waves of buzz throughout the adult entertainment biz. Now in its ninth year, with an expanded list of more than 100 award categories, the 2011 awards show is set to feature the most expansive array of categories in XBIZ Awards history.
And as the proliferation of adult entertainment into pop culture continues, the XBIZ Awards have evolved, drawing stars and hopefuls to the annual event. Dedicated fans, the press corps and star gazers alike wait months for the yearly extravaganza and jam the streets of Hollywood, some seeking autographs, some snapping photos and others simply there to see the biggest names in adult entertainment up-close and personal.

This year, in anticipation of more than 2,000 attendees, the 2011 XBIZ Awards show is set to take place at the iconic Hollywood Palladium, which has hosted legendary musical acts, including The Rolling Stones, Madonna and Led Zeppelin, and has hosted special events such as the Grammy Awards.
Come Feb. 9, the adult entertainment industry’s illustrious night of nights will once again light up the streets and skies of Hollywood like never before with the grandest XBIZ Awards show to date.
More Trivia: The Palladium has also honored MLK Jr and had JFK speak against ultra-conservatism. It was also the location for the LA Porn convention in the 90s and the Blues Brothers movie concert scene. It opened in Hollywood on the eve of Halloween 1940 featuring Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra and a band vocalist named Frank Sinatra. Back then the cover charge was $1 and dinner was $3. What a deal!
