Jeremy writes- On Wednesday night, starting at 7:30 PM, at the Long Beach Art Theater (see flyer), Lucky Starr and I will be attending a forum discussing the pros and cons of being a "porn star". Although Lucky and I represent the pros, we will not be trying to con you. Also attending will be two former performers who no longer have sex on camera. They say porn is immoral and they could not continue working in the sex industry with a clear conscience.
This event is being sponsored by the Long Beach City Church and will be getting coverage by the Press Telegram and the
Long Beach Post. Everyone who is interested is cordially invited. No charge to get in.

My understanding is that the forum differs slightly at this point than how it’s described in the article. Lucky and I represent the two current porn stars/performers, and there will be two others, former porn stars/performers against it. The panel will consist of two male and two female.
As mentioned in the above comment still under moderation this forum is currently on the front page of lbpost . com. As said, the updated panel (originally 3 panel members apparently) will consist of 4 members; 2 male, 2 female; 2 current performers, 2 former performers; 2 defenders of porn; 2 ex-performers against it.
I would like to add that I’m honored to have been chosen. Supposedly quite a few porn people were interviewed as potential panel members and Lucky and I were the two protagonists chosen. It is our intention to reaffirm that they made the right choice in picking us to represent the porn industry.
Also I was a student at Cal State Long Beach 20 years ago and am finally putting my Speech Communications/Debate Major to use outside the confines of the CSULB campus. I expect some students to be there, in addition to the local news, and hope we’ll be seen and cheered on as the “home” team.
