This could be a blessing in disguise as the case may make its way to the Supreme Court who might rule on gay marriage for the entire country. However, its hard to tell which way they’ll move. The ban is definitely an issue all conservatives (Scalia, Thomas, Roberts, and Alito) will side for and all liberals(?) (Ginsburg, Kagan, Breyer, Sotomayor) will side against. The question is–where’s Kennedy?
