NL-I’m looking into having a chatroom built into LIB. It would be opened one night a week to start so we could all get together and hang out and talk. It might grow into something that would be open a lot more often. Depends on quite a few things. The first being the time and money involved in me doing this. So far LIB is a labor of love with a loan payment, lol. Tell me what you guys think…
I don’t know, a chat room could turn out to be a disaster. A lot of this blogging and chatting on the Internet is a colossal waste of time. We all should probably use the Internet more as a tool (banking, Amazon, Ebay, email) and spend the rest of our time going outside to play.
Plus, can you imagine some of the LIB usual suspects having access to a chat room?
To each his own, but at least by leaving and responding to comments you’re not held captive and can do so in your own time.
It’s about the money, honey. I suggest you start up a chat room as a test to see if it’ll get LIB more traffic, hence more advertisers. If it works, keep it. If it turns into a headache with no considerable profit, then drop it.
I would like that.
Years ago I was member of a dancer/stripper chat room in the mid west; met some eclectic folks. The room got pulled when the owner got into a disagreement with members. The reason was more about ego than anything else.
I made long term friends there, two of whom I chat in a semi regular basis.
I miss that, I tried looking for a similar locale, but never found another. This would be a nice enough place to discuss this, that and the other thing. I hope it happens.
And yeah, I would go with The Colonel’s suggestion. Test the waters first.
I think is a great idea any way as The Colonel says, Test the waters first.
Great idea. Be nice to say Hello to everyone.
