NL- I like his criteria, which is basically which movies do I always put aside to watch. Dr Jay picks by the girl. But I would say I pick by the girls, sometimes the guys, by the director & by the company. Sometimes I pick by the subject matter or the boxcover.
Who/What make you pick up one movie over another? What are your "must sees"?

NL-But I will start off with the first things that come to mind. I always grab Bree Olson & Ashlynn Brooke titles because they are my husbands favorites. If it’s directed by Will Ryder I’ll be watching it. If it’s a parody movie, a comedy, a spoof, or a horror it gets a second look for sure. I watch all the big budget flicks from Wicked, Adam & Eve & Vivid. SkinworXXX is a new company that has had 2 movies that I really liked, so anything from them. I like Hustler’s Untrue Hollywood Stories series.
A reader writes- Julia Ann among the women (talk about a "legend"!). No guy really interests me (Tommy Gunn?). Brad Armstrong of the directors (he has never gotten enough credit). Wicked of the companies (Vivid sucks). Legs as a subject (hard to find) and Wicked again for boxcovers.
Oops, there is only 12.

Speaking of Kayden Krook…er…Kross, she was on Howard Stern today in Paul Fishbein’s annual AVN trip giveaway. The contest involved three guys with some problem that kept them from getting laid. The guy who won the trip was in a wheelchair, I dont believe he was a Veteran. Fishbein is such a piece of crap.
Why is Misty Stone being overlooked considering her not just 1 but 4 AVN noms and her actual acting TALENT?

Howard Stern has lost his mojo, no questions to Kimmie Krook about her legal problems or her dead fish behavior during her sex scenes.
Stern might not have known about Kayden Kross legal problems; as if she or Paul didn’t mention it in a pre-interview, and the staff doesn’t read LIB or other porn gossip sites, and/or they didn’t follow-up what her Wikipedia entry says, or even maybe they decided it was a non-starter, it wouldn’t have ended up in the interview notes.
To some, these sorts of things mean the world — to others, they couldn’t give two shits.
FYI MonicaFister…the list is simply’s this dude’s criteria for how he picks which porn movies to watch. I don’t think he basis that on either the AVN Awards or your hypothetical Porn Actress Performance Index.
I’d still think she’d be on the list considering some of the other picks…
To me, there is no such thing as a “must see” performer so I’m with Cindi/NL regarding other criteria but Jay’s lists do tend to contain some fine talent(even if Misty certainly had a breakthrough year and merited extra attention in award consideration).
