(December 29, 2009 – Atlanta, GA) skinworXXX finishes off an already impressive first year in adult with the formation of Rock Star Public Relations & Management, specializing in adult PR and event/talent management catering towards the adult industry.
“We’ve been doing PR and event management for Teagan for the last two years, and Eva for the last year, and the results have been outstanding,” explains skinworXXX CEO/Director Joshua. “We’ve had so many stars and others in the adult industry ask us to help them out with PR and event management that we’ve decided to expand out our client base.”
Rock Star PRM will offer clients everything and anything to help both further their careers in adult and mainstream, as well as increase their earnings and income potential via events at the country’s top nightclubs, personal appearances, strategic partnerships and much more. The company will also offer full-service public relations and viral marketing services for those clients who want to expand their public profiles.
Rock Star PRM utilizes principals in the adult and mainstream entertainment industries whose experiences and reputations in their fields cannot be matched. Their efforts this year with various projects resulted in multiple award nominations, including 10 nominations for skinworXXX alone and most notably in the marketing categories. This all sounds admirable, much like the other start up where fees are lower, health plans are available, etc but…
I have no doubt that Joshua spends considerable time promoting Teagan, his main squeeze and love of his life. I know they promote Eva nicely too, both co-owners of the company, but even this starting lineup reflects a 400% increase in people represented, presumably many more to come. I’d be curious as to how the company was going to balance out each of them and what they were going to do specifically in terms of elevating the stature of the ladies.
The first thing that came to my mind was how many performers were going to change their way of doing things to accommodate the “…it’s also about how you treat your fans, coworkers and press, behind closed doors and in public”.
The second was the claim that Teagan and Eva were on the rise evidenced by “Teagan and Eva’s stars have gone up in the past two years and so have their sales”. Are you measuring the time each took off for children and court fights against their work schedule, shooting movies vs dancing in clubs, or what? Heck, how are you measuring sales considering actual numbers are so difficult to pin down?
I wish them all the best but as I’ve asked others, from April to Alex to Mullen and others, what will be the measurements of performance performers can expect to see elevated?
First off, I’ve been helping a good number of the girls on my roster for months already. I’ve delivered most of these girls great results already, and our activities at AEE next week we announce Monday will showcase that.
As far as T and E’s star power going up, both girls climbed on the Fame registry, Genesis List, and most importantly, Teagan stopped doing boys two years ago, and people thought her career was over. Since then, she’s won an award at virtually every single award show, and got a new contract just doing girls.
But the biggest factor on why and how I will help these girls, I only charge them for gigs I get them, and success I bring them, like a mainstream firm. I don’t make money unless they make money. We have events already planned past AEE, and magazine shoots scheduled for mainstream and adult.

Why do we care? Lets see what they are doing even in… lets be nice and say five years from now. I have seen em come and seem em go. But hey I have only been doing this for 17 years… Sales on all adult videos are down and retailers are scaling back what they carry and increasing the amount of novelties they carry. The market and consumers do not care about anything other than jacking off to it for 8 to 10 min. then the “Epic” is turned off and put away. So all I can say is, get over your selves and remember what the product we make is used for. That’s the truth. DEAL WITH IT!
Joshua, I truly wish you well in this endeavor. I’d still hesitate to suggest Teagan has come out of nowhere (in an age of decline, it is more difficult for newcomers to achieve her level of popularity, hence the awards) but I get the impression that you aren’t focusing solely on getting gals scenes so much as the big picture (scenes, magazines, web shoots, dance gigs, etc.) so good luck.
Let me clarify, Teagan was one of the biggest stars ever before we started doing her publicity. However, in the last year with DP, her ex had made some poor decisions including leaving DP and poor scene choices, and her fame and sales took a hit. She went from shooting monthly to three times in two years, and her turn outs at events are now back to her golden days. That was my point.
Hey Josh is a guy that gets things done so if anybody can pull this off it will be him. I wish him well. Back when I first started in this business in marketing we had a ton of corporate clients at All Media Play (Hustler, New Sensations, Sin City, SexZ Pictures, Smash Pictures, X-Play, and 12 others) and it is very hard to keep them all happy at the same time. Actually it was impossible. We only had two girls on our roster back then- Hillary Scott and Sunny Lane (because individual girls take up more time than big companies) and nobody can complain about those girls’ success those early years so I sort of know what Josh is getting into. His roster looks great and I can only imagine he will be getting some of the same aches and pains that we had years ago with respect to keeping everybody happy but I think he will use his knowledge of emerging technologies quite nicely and do a fine job for these girls. Is it possible to keep everybody happy all the time? Ask some of the other PR cats of today. Probably not but I know that Josh will do a great job trying.
BTW: Teagan, Eva, Sunny and Hillary are all fantastic in Flight Attendants.
I actually think that individual star-status or elite girls and their business connection with fans will be the only thing left standing after the bow of the porn business completely submerges under the looming iceberg.
