In a move earlier this week ICS Entertainment Inc., a subsidiary of Playboy, sold a prominent advertising space on their adult industry message forum gfy.com to a brokerage firm specializing in traffic from tube sites PornHub and Tube8.
These sites are loaded with stolen full length videos from many of the other advertisers on the forum.
Speculation is that the brokerage firm is owned by the membership site Brazzers who is using the videos from competitors to draw surfers to watch them for free.
Oddly enough the videos from the suite of Brazzers sites are clipped and do not exceed 5 minutes on the average while giving the consumer the competitors content for free and making Brazzers seem more appealing by only releasing a short clip.
Brazzers seems to benefit from a loop hole in copyright law referred to as Safe Harbor and they maintain that the full length videos from their competitors or not stolen but instead are uploaded by users.
The decision for Playboy to accept the advertising from a source such as this comes as a surprise to most industry insiders since PLA has a reputation for aggressively protecting their own copyrighted content.
Curious times indeed especially for us stockholders.

Things have been bad at Playboy for ages.
oddly enough you’ll find on most tube sites that brazzers clips don’t exceed 5 minutes. these fuckers are outright thieves and it’s disappointing you occasionally put up posts advertising them, cindi. brazzers are the porn borg – completely generic shit shot for cunts too lazy to venture outside their comfort zone. ask their retarded fans their favourite pizza and they’d tell you dominos – but for some variety they venture to pizza hut. it’s a scary thought, but in a few years i feel brazzers will completely dominate the landscape – spraying their acidic diarrhoea of overlit, cartoonish garbage upon us. you’ll look for an alternative and only find the depressing efforts of fat POV artists attempting to insert their cocktail frankfurts into strung out strippers. this putrid scene takes place amongst the rubble and garbage strewn throughout their condemned apartments.
i’d venture that the same cunts who are brazzers members are the same fuckheads who keep nickelback in business.

Well I would say not every consumer is wanting extreme. In fact I would tell you that mostly they don’t want it. Maybe just maybe Brazzers is in fact listening to the customer base and keeping it semi fluffy cause it sells like hot cakes for them.
I know when worked for the distribution company we sold by far more soft xxx then the hardcore donkey punch crap.
If we had a good script we would do unbelievably well.
It also sounds like by working with the Tube sites Brazzers was able to not get ripped off and still get their product out there in a positive way.
