What jobs did you have before you got into the adult industry?
Ok starting at 18 – data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable, accounts receivable supervisor, office manager, assistant controller, controller, general manager! All corporate – man the sexual tension in the office was unbearable! When I was single, I did fuck my employees, lol I’ve had emails from some of them since, congratulating me, telling me “good for you for following your heart and doing what you want to do”, and “You ended up right where you belong!”
 
Why and how did you get involved in the adult industry?
Since my teens, I always wanted to try modeling.  I never had the time, money or confidence to try it. At 37 I took a sabbatical from building custom homes. (I had a construction company for years that had done very well). I bought a 40 foot travel trailer and it was my intention to just travel around and live a life of leisure for about a year. With this newfound time on my hands, I started thinking about the modeling thing again.  I figured at my age, it was now or never, lol…. After all, I wasn’t getting any younger. I visited some agencies, and they all told me the same thing.  You are too old, too short and too fat.  What an insult! (I didn’t know you were supposed to lie about all those things, I told the truth!) Being the determined bull headed obstinate bugger that I am, I stuck out on my own, took pictures, got a profile on onemodelplace.com and before I knew it I was working steady. Don’t tempt me! You recently celebrated your 44th birthday. How did you celebrate?
I was at Erotica LA (our site was was nominated at the Fame Awards for “best website”) and ended up having dinner at Pacific Dining Car with some of my long time website members, Sunny Lane,  Michelle Lay  and Ron Jeremy who walked into the restaurant with a church group which was really interesting!
 
You look ten years younger than that. How do you stay in such good shape?
I run, run, and then run some more.   Oh, and did I say I run? I love to run, I have a nice collection of little trophies from community 5K’s.
 
How do you stay so young looking?
My plastic surgeon gets monthly blow jobs. Seriously, thank you for the compliment! I love to rollerblade, bicycle and go to the gym.  I absolutely love Body-pump! I’m hooked on it. If I miss it for a few days I get grumpy! I try to live very clean, I went to AA when I was 21 so I haven’t had a drink now in what 23 years? I quit smoking a year after that. How long have you been in the adult industry?
My first scene was May 31, 2003, so that makes it just over 6 years now. It was less than 2 weeks before my 38th birthday!
 
What are the best & worst things about the industry?
Best? No brainer! The sex…. really.  I can get paid to have sex? Get paid to entertain people? What could be better than that? I used to work in an office! I sat in traffic wasting hours of my life every day!  I love my flexible schedule and every day is different from the next. Going back to a 9 to 5 now would kill me! I’d rather die! I’d rather eat dirt off the sidewalk! Lol…. Not that anyone would hire me now…. Can you just see me as a bank teller? “you look kind of familiar, do I know you from somewhere?” lol…
 
The worst?  The way the industry is slowly destroying itself by giving away so much free porn, taking away its value and otherwise creating an environment where it is tougher and tougher for talent to make a decent living.  The industry is dog eat dog with little to no loyalty.
 
What advice would you give to an eighteen year old girl who wants to get into the porn biz?
Honestly?  Don’t.  Go to school and get a degree first and then……….. and only then, if you really want to do it, pick a good agent and do only those scenes that you really want to do.  Never be pressured to do something you don’t want to do and don’t do something just for a paycheck. Actually that goes for everything in life, not just porn. If you ever do things “just for the money” you will be sorry. Porn stays with you forever…. don’t create a record for the rest of your life unless you are really committed to that lifestyle. It’s not as easy as you think. It’s a lot of hard work.  You need a thick skin. It’s not as glamorous as you think. The money is not as good as it used to be, and with the biz going cheap, going gonzo, going amateur, going internet, the days of “PORNSTARS” are over. You will not be the next Jenna Jameson.
 
Is there a certain age that women should stop doing porn?
44?  Ha ha.  Nope.  Stop doing it when you are thinking about how long the pot roast has been cooking instead of the scene you are shooting maybe?

I was very upset and decided to take control and do it myself. I learned by trial and error – mostly error! Lol…  I had no formal training but after the site started doing well I figured I should go and learn more.  I went to school for computer graphics, design and back end stuff.  Yes…………. I like html! I’m a total geek!  I figured that if I was going to continue in the business, we had to expand so I did by signing more girls and creating a bona-fide network.   I really thought there was a void in the industry…. a girl pornstar running and helping other girls. I may not know everything but the girls know they can trust me and that I will do my best to help them.
 
How did you learn to do it?
Trying different things and seeing what works. You really know if you are doing the right thing or not by the amount of people who actually think your site is worth paying for, lol… Then whether or not they stay is a great indicator – our retention rate is high.

What would a fan see if he joined your network of sites?
Well the obvious answer is he/she gets all of the sites for one membership.  But in our case I think a fan gets a real community.  Every site is joined by the communal board and there are member only activities and cam2cam events where fans really can interact and get to know the girls.  The members can get on cam as well if they dare! You should have put this question earlier.  There are so many things.  The industry is destroying itself.  Between free porn and corporate porn like Brazzers, smaller websites are becoming a thing of the past.  So many solo girls have just given up on their sites. Solo girls are just not able to survive in this business.  If they do survive they are treated like whores,  not like stars…. overshot, over saturated and overexposed.  The big time movies are gone and the consumer has nothing much to look forward to . The days of the big budget adult movie are really going by the wayside.  Some movie companies won’t even do makeup or hair anymore, which makes a huge difference in the end result. I really think girls are treated poorly and underpaid.
 
How do you feel about the disease testing in the industry?
Testing should be every 2 weeks not every 30 days. HIV has a 2 week incubation period so it just makes more sense. Then everyone would be safe or safer.  Having said that, the recent ruckus is absurd. AIM (Adult Industry Medical)  did an excellent job of identifying and quarantining and protecting everyone.
 
Do you worry about HIV?
I have not had a single STD since I shoot only for my site. My only male talent is Rokkerr my hubby. Given what we do, it’s always in the back of my mind, but I feel fairly safe shooting with women.  
 
Do you think requiring the use of condoms in all adult scenes is a good or bad idea?
Awful, One, people hate looking at it.
Two, people hate using them. I personally hate them and find them uncomfortable, especially in an anal scene. We fuck much longer and harder than a normal person and the rubber will chafe.
Three, it does not sell as well.
Four, no one should be able to force another human being to put on a condom if they don’t want to – isn’t that called freedom of speech and expression?
