For by your logic, of lack thereof, anyone who commented on political matters against your personal beliefs, would be considered a traitor who never bothers voting. Your analogy does not hold water. I have no problem w/ opinions on porn film or performances. What I was refrring to was the “speech” of others regarding her own private reasons for her return, her ethnicity, her marriage and/or divorce, etc. None of those have anything to do with the merits of her performance, etc. Taking personal swipes at someone does not constitute “reviewing a movie” mainstream or otherwise. Neither would it equate to an cogent opinion on a political matter.

Every board I’ve been on throughout the years that discusses porn hates Vivid and those types of companies. They say it’s not real porn being so vanilla and tame.

What is there to hate in American features porn?
One, keep the vaseline jar out of the camera lenses, with the exception of DP that has shown son crips photography latey, they seem to put half a can of vaseline, sorry filters in the lenses.

As far as I can tell, their most radical innovation recently has been to have directors frame their sex scenes so that they can throw them on the internet and not have consumers, as if they ever would, go ‘huh’ because there’s some element of plot left dangling at the start and end of the fucking.

I agree with your theory that the success of Vivid/Wicked is due to hotel chains. The movies they sell the hotel chains for chump change is advertising for the rest of their catalog, which is probably why they never changed the formula at least for some releases to compete with gonzo videos. I think it also helps that those two companies together own most of Jenna’s catalog, so when people want a ‘Jenna Jameson movie’, it is inevitably Wicked or Vivid that benefits.
