SACRAMENTO — Adam & Eve contract performer Kayden Kross, who had been indicted in September on felony counts of grand theft and real estate fraud, pleaded out the charges on Monday.
According to court records, the grand theft charge has been dismissed and the real estate fraud charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. Kross pleaded no contest and was sentenced to one day in custody and three years of probation…….

That means she will have to skip porn partines and escorting?
With all the drugs on the porn subculture and with all the escorting (so far she do not) an arrest would mean a disaster for her.
She now has to be both a good girl and a whore. Difficult. But not impossible.
It was obvious that Kayden Kross was not the master mind behind those complicated real state frauds, she was someone else’s pawn, a pretty face that was used to convince victems like the disabled veteran.
I believe she co-operated fully with the investigators and provided them with important information, and that’s how she got off so easily. Let that be a lesson for her.
Those fuckers at Xbiz!! I just looked at all their Kayden archives and the only other thing about this case they ever ran was when she was first indicted. Nothing about Scott Fayner’s interview of the vet and nothing about Gene Ross’ interview of the boyfriend. Nothing! Iiiiiiiiii am the only one who kept up talking about her court appearances. I have her records and reported every time she was in court and all the latest continuances. ME! Scott stopped talking about Kayden and so did Gene. Iiiiiiii am the only one who kept it up, I posted this on Scott’s site, and then Gene picked up my story from Scott’s site for AdultFYI. But it’s because of me that anyone knew what the fuck was going on in this case. Iiiiiiii posted this on my blog Wednesday. The fuckers at Xbiz posted their story Thursday. Would anyone at Xbiz know anything about this case if I didn’t post on Twitter that she was finally sentenced and got a day in prison and three years probation?? Some at Xbiz are on my Twitter stream and read what I wrote. The next fucking day they run this like if they got the exclusive. Would any of them know what the hell was going on if I didn’t run it first, run it on Scott’s site, and Gene picking up what I wrote on Scott’s for AdultFYI> Nooooooooooo!! This entire year they only ran one story and that was about her indictment. My name should be in their story but it’s not. The only reason I didn’t run it on Monday is first because the database didn’t update until hours later and I was also waiting for her mugshot. I know someone who has a press pass and he said he would get me her mugshot. he then tells me Wednesday that it will take 30 days. So I’m like what good will her mugshot do me in 30 days? So I ran MY story on Wednesday and then said it on Twitter and posted in Scott’s site which Gene ran the next day. FUCK YOU XBIz!!

Seriously though, for the most part, there are two industry news sources in porn: AVN and XBiz, everyone else is a gossip columnist for the most part (at best). As I’ve pointed out to you a number of times, if you want to be treated like a journalist (and in porn, the bar is set really low), you have to act like one. Stripping away all the rants, exactly what meaty details did you provide the world on the KK case? Each update was essentially a reprint of what went on before and when suggested you call the DA’s office to explain exactly why the case was pled to a chump change day in jail, you put on the “but no one likes me/no one answers me/I have no credibility” routine yet again.
If you want Xbiz to “quote you”, go work on the story and give them something to quote. As it stands, you reported that she pled down to a one day sentence on a misdemeanor when the DA dropped the rest of the charges. That’s public record, not “and now, for our fair weather correspondent Darrah…” material.
To date, none of you have answered why it took nearly three years for the police/DA’s office to do anything with the case, none of you have dug beyond getting a self serving interview with the victim, and none of you have posted the exact violation KK pled to. Have any of you called the DA? Have any of you interviewed reputable sources in real estate that could explain exactly what took place, how much of it was quite legal, and the nature of the civil matter versus criminal?
In short, you never “owned” the story and Todd Hunter has been writing in depth about porn since you were probably scrounging around looking at daddy’s Playboys so until you’re willing to step up to the plate and show you can handle the big leagues, don’t get your panties in a bunch… 🙂

Forgot where, maybe a forum, but read they cut and paste many of their news stories. Not talking about the press releases because that’s an obvious cut & paste. So what actual journalism are they doing? They’re not really journalists but an outlet for stories. They report what the news is. Gene Ross is more of a journalist and both he and Scott Fayner went out and interviewed the man who lost his home, the ex-boyfriend, and mortgage broker. But no one from XBiz and AVN ever ran what Scott and gene wrote.
This isn’t my job and I don’t get paid for it. It’s a hobby and side project that I hope grows. So I’m not going to call the DA and get a large long distance phone bill at the end of the month; or contact the DA and out Kayden as a porn star if they never knew she was. I don’t have a press pass and would be very difficult to get anyone at the DA’s office to talk to an unknown blogger. So I just don’t bother and spend my time trying to finc out other information and do other things.
Many cases take years to ever see the light of day and you know that. And she got this great deal so she can roll over on the others and because they rather spend their time and resources going after the ring leaders than she. She’s not that bright to have pulled this off on her own. She did after all commit a crime that can be easily solved by looking at the paperwork.
So if someone gets an interview, it’s self-serving? So you fault Scott and Gene though if it wasn’t for them, we would never have known the extent of Kayden’s involvement. So if someone gets an interview, you attack them for being self-serving. But if they didn’t, then they weren’t doing their job?
Kayden was first charged in Superior Court of California with Grand Theft (PC 487 (A) – Felony) and Real Estate Fraud (CCC1695.3 – Felony). The Grand Theft felony charge was dismissed while instead she plead no contest to a misdemeanor on the Real Estate Fraud charge. Is that what you mean by exact violation she plead to?

Well they should say where they got the information and link back. Look at all the traffic and backlinks AVN & XBiz get from the blogs and forums. Maybe I’ll just take from XBiz from now on as my own story without ever saying where I got the information.
AVN nor Xbiz won’t acknowledge the blogs, because then they’d have to admit that they consider blogs to be competition. However, people will often check the blogs before AVN or Xbiz, because blogs update faster.

Okay, first off, both organizations do run press releases, run stories submitted by production companies, and do run “fluff” pieces as they are both trade organizations. That said, if you feel their job is to go out and tear into industry members, write negative pieces for the mainstream media and/or government to use against the industry, or otherwise spend resources to print half truths, you will always be disappointed.
Secondly, bloggers in general are faster, more current, and far more subject to the inaccuracies of running with stories they don’t verify. So for every KK story that is written in half assed fashion by a few folks that took their best shot and failed, there are all of those Angelina Armani stories like you wrote the retraction about (times ten). You don’t tend to see XBiz running with stories that use Arland “Skeeter” Kerkove as their sole source as beloved Gene does (be it secret POV tapes or what not), nor do you see a lot of articles repeatedly singing the praises of Taylor Rain as Scott used to write about in a reportedly alcoholic/drugged haze. As is usually the case, blogs are read for their entertainment value because of how shitty they are verified (or rely strictly on anonymous sources that tend to be axe grinders). (for the record, I find Gene’s pieces extremely amusing and entertaining but I’d never rely on them for anything serious; Scott’s gotten a lot better in recent times too)
Thirdly, to say that writers at XBiz or AVN never write original articles is also false, a quick look at either website will yield plenty to look into for those that care. They might not be written in a manner that you care for but if you think their job is to route out crime, corruption, and evil in the industry rather than serve the industry itself, you are mistaken. I might not always agree with Mark Kernes but to say he, as a long time writer at AVN only does the blogger “cut & paste act” is libelous. In short, they post a variety of pieces for folks to see what’s going on within their niche…
Fourth, in the KK matter, each piece written by the three of you mentioned was heavily slanted. As I’ve repeatedly told you, I’m not her apologist nor am I going to go into the limited facts at your disposal. Still, have any of you called the DA’s office, filed a freedom of information act request (the right of any citizen in our reasonably open society; it being quite cheap for those willing to spout off but not make a five minute phone call), or otherwise verified half of what you’ve stated? Talking to the guy who is accusing KK of wrong doing isn’t a bad first step but it is ONLY a first step if that is the kind of article y’all want to post. Getting a dirt cheap copy of the police report (again, legally and cheaply available to ANYONE requesting it) wouldn’t hurt, calling the police department and speaking with the guy that handled the case seems pretty reasonable, or contacting a real estate professional that engages in the often predatory but very legal practice of bailout loans seems like reporting 101.
As pointed out previously, you want credibility without doing the legwork and building up a reputation. You can play the double edge sword of “but I don’t get paid” against the “I’m reporting the truth” angle all you like but numerous court cases have upheld that bloggers are entitled to the same protections as more traditional journalists (and some have not, thanks NJ) but you rae in essence claiming that Tod Hunter “stole” your story, a story you have run into the ground a number of times because you were too cheap to verify basic facts, now claim you “aren’t paid for”, and insist on a link for even though you “aren’t a journalist”.
Face it, you haven’t even read the law pertaining to the matter, and that section is pretty easy to understand for a layman (KK could have been found guilty of using the wrong typeface on the documents filed for all you know). My point was not that you had to be a real estate attorney or expert but that you never even took the time to find out EXACTLY what she pled NO CONTEST (she never pled guilty) to. The state of California sat on the case endlessly, couldn’t find enough credible evidence to prosecute KK for any of the original felonies, and you’re jumping up and down over it.
Did she roll over on her co-conspirators, was it a piss poor legal case, or what? To date, none of you have stood up and showed the world though I’m looking forward to your advertised article coming out Monday about it to see more unsupported data (which doesn’t have to be the case if you step up to the plate for once).

I don’t call anyone on the phone. Not only because of long distance but because it can be traced even with a blocker. I’ve looked it up. The other night I was arguing with someone because he wanted me to call him and it was one in the morning. I said no because it’s late but also because I don’t call anyone and rather do it through email. I didn’t even want to deal with the blog story anymore after dealing with him.
I’m also not going to waste my entire day contacting people for one fucking story. If I did that, there wouldn’t be much of a blog anymore because it would be lacking in updates. So I rely on reading what others write or what’s sent in to me. You don’t like it, I don’t fucking care. Go somewhere else then. I also do not care what anyone in the industry thinks of me.

According to my MPD porn chick theory she might be semiretired, or even active in the industry but living partially in the East Coast. She might have been brutally sexually abused at a very early age and in denial of that. She might have huge repressed anger toward men in general and more acute, men in the industry and be very concerned and defensive for herself and another girls in the industry. She cannot do or say those things with her porn chick persona since her porn chick persona pays her bills, she might have done alcohol or drugs in the past to muffle the anger and the pain but no longer is doing that. Hence the alter personality, to vent the anger and the pain, to say and do the things she cannot do as a porn chick.
The porn chick personality must be very different, almost too pasive and confortable with her role as a PW and men doormat.
There is a definite passive agressive streak here.

PSB/DF, I believe she was told not to speak to the press while the matter was still pending on advice from her attorney. It’s good advice and proves his worth to her outside of how he handled the piss poor case made against her to get it dropped to a meager misdemeanor.
As far as its value, I’d say it was at least as credible (within limits) as most of what has been written to date. Each participant wants people to believe their side of the story and each of them has something to gain. Treating any of them as though their word was written on stone tablets seems mighty selective, even for someone too close to the matter such as yourself.
As soon as you find yourself on the wrong end of what someone else says, maybe you’ll understand that concept better…oh wait, you have several times already leading to being banned on some forums (that interestingly enough appear to hate one another except when it comes to their agreement about you; XPT and ADT).
Sigh, and because I have already been taken potshots at over this, I state again that I have no affiliation with KK, Adam & Eve, and haven’t even found her movies to be all that great (she is cute but that and $3 will get you a cup of premium coffee), nor do I anticipate she and I spending any quality time together over the next 30 years… 😉
