HIV+ MILF- I am so sorry this happened to you…

When I post these stories I can’t help but know that this is a real life person we are talking about that just got some devastating, life changing news.

I am not posting all the info I have, including the names of movie companies and possible people involved. If you are worried because you might be in the chain of infection, please call or e-mail AIM.

I am not going to out people or companies at this time, because I don’t see how that can help the situation.

If the person, people or companies would like to talk to me either anonymously or using their names (up to them) of course I want more answers than I have.

Please e-mail me at Notlukeisback@yahoo.com, or through this site.

My heart breaks for everyone involved in this mess. BUT, so much has changed in recent years, that a HIV diagnosis is not a death sentence at all, it’s just a chronic condition that has to be managed.

While this may seem like the end of the world right now, tis not at all. Look to the beautiful Tricia Devereaux as a role model. She is long married to John Stagliano, is a successful business person,  and is raising a beautiful healthy child years after her diagnosis.

  1. The Colonel says:

It’s sad and scary, but remember people: the infected person was working very infrequently, and all involved partners are currently in adult employment quarantine. Some of them might have been tested negative prior to outbreak, and since no names have not been publicly revealed, the best thing to do is to be on the safe side: if you’re going to shoot a scene, call AIM and verify the most recent status of a performer’s test, don’t just trust the printed copy he/she brings on the set.

This is a serious matter, you shouldn’t panic, but you should be extremely cautious.

Sadly I bet she do not have medical insurance and the tax payers will have to foot the medical bill. No moral hazzard whatever.

  3. Nice words Cindi, of course we a re talking about a human being that now probably is devastated anyway Colonel is right, sadly in many places, many sets, many countries in Europe people don’t have their test in order, sometimes many porn workers only have the main test in VIH o hepatitis nothing about Chlamydia or Ghonorrea, recently a Spanish porn star friend of mine shooting in Italy got Chlamydia…the male actor had not the tests ok In this case is worse…is VIH but, all can say is that VIH can be treated nowadays but performers should be professionals and knowing that if they don’t care about this It can be a very serious thing for all the porn community and for the society too.
I wish the best for this unfortunate performer. She needs now courage and faith

  4. Also money.

The point is… Will OSHA now enfoce the CALI workers health safety code on the Porn Industry? Or porn still is above the law?

    The LA TIMES ponder on:

As the clinic downplayed the positive test, public health officials cited their ongoing battle with the porn industry over the use of condoms during filming. The two sides have been at odds for years, and despite the intense scrutiny, Fielding said he is concerned that condoms are still not being used.

“You wouldn’t send someone to work on a high-rise building without a hard-hat, so why are we allowing these performers to perform without condoms?” Fielding said.

Deborah Gold, a senior safety engineer with the state Occupational Safety and Health Division, said her agency repeatedly had attempted to crack down on unsafe workplaces in the adult entertainment industry, issuing several citations against employers, including a gay male production company that touted its condom-free filming.

Despite those efforts, she said, numerous investigations have found that condoms were not used and that no training had been conducted to prevent unsafe contact.

Los Angeles County has been receiving reports from the clinic of 60 to 80 new cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea a month among adult performers, Fielding said.

The clinic’s testing protocol recommends that adult performers get screened for HIV every 30 days. Fielding called that schedule insufficient to protect against transmission because it takes nine to 11 days after exposure for HIV to appear on test results.

“Let’s say you were infected on Monday, tested on Wednesday and perform on Friday. You would show up as negative, but you’re not negative,” Fielding said.
