Hello everyone. My week has been great! I had a live radio show with y101 in
Richmond, VA and a bunch of interviews. Also went to see Dane Cook on Friday. I
couldn’t stop laughing. On the 3rd I’m going sky diving! I can’t wait! It’s
something I’ve always wanted to do. 🙂 Not to mention I’m going with like 10
close friends / family members. Since I’ve signed with Digital Playground my
life holds endless possibilities, and I can’t wait to see what my future in their hands
holds for me. From now ’til Tuesday, I’m just relaxing. My buddy Mat has gone to Alabama
to see his family, so I’m kinda bored. lol Who wants to keep me company? I’m
probably going to be living at the beach this week working on my sexy tan.
Oh yeah, one last thing: my first movie with Digital Playground ss called "Whore
it Up". There are a lot of hot, sexy, naughty little extras, so you better keep
your eyes open.

I was recently made aware of a spelling mistake in the title of my last XCritic blog. I apologize to anyone whom that mistake offended. I realize that as a porn star it is my responsibility to always maintain the utmost professionalism. After all, my fans all write about how my brain is my sexiest feature. Let me reach into my mailbag and show you:

I’m just about positive the “response” blog was written by Rio’s PR person, not by Rio.
what is with this need to feel superior? i guarantee you that as adult media and publicists, we have typos, spelling & grammatical errors, and fact mistakes in our finished work. i know i do, and that’s after three other people have looked over it.
in fact, let’s examine the post from this site. the author capitalizes “you” when it doesn’t start a sentence. he has no form of punctuation after the text that was placed in parenthesis. there is a comma after an ellipsis. oh, and let’s not forget the incorrect fact which states this was rio valentine’s first xcritic.com blog, when in fact it was her fourth.
let’s be honest–very few porn stars have more than a high school education. i’m guessing the same can be said for most people within this industry. what many of these girls do possess is an overwhelming supply of street smarts and savvy, like rio.
please remember this isn’t grade school. there’s no reason for the chubby kid to feel better by picking on the fatter kid.
Let’s be clear here, I like Rio Valentine very much. I think she is beyond wonderful but I think what is in question here isn’t her brains as much as the people over at DP who may not be marketing her properly. I mean if you are going to label something as black or yellow then the product in question should be black or yellow.
A perfect example is that I recently read one of their PR people saying she was a girl from the south when in fact she is a Jersey girl, born and bred. You don’t get any more different than a girl from a south than a Jersey girl.
I get that they are trying to market a product and that product also just so happens to be a porn star but they need to themselves be smart about it. They need to sit down with her and get to know her. I can tell you I have had many many wonderful conversations with her and it would be so easy to pick a few things out of her personality to highlight.
She’s many wonderful things, but she’s not Vivid’s AJ Baily who from what I hear holds not one but two high end degrees.
That doesn’t make Rio Valentine bad, just different. I hate to see them try and force a square peg in a round hole.
Rio Valentine has so so so much to offer fans including her extremely wild and kinky side who is very much into the whole s/m scene as a submission. In most of her earlier photos she wears her collar around her neck.
Anyway I’ll stop rambling on now. I just wanted to point out to Chris and a few others that the knock isn’t really on Rio Valentine, as much as it is on Digital Playground for their inability to properly identify her actual traits and then promote those.
so this is what i’ve been missing from not participating in the comments section of blogs. i can see how people get sucked into spending so much time on these pages. this is fun. 🙂
there’s an interesting fan page out there that mentions rio moved away from jersey to small-town florida at the age of 8. she is now 19, so that would mean more than half of her life was spent in the south. besides, anyone who has lived in south jersey knows that much of it is more rural than many parts of kentucky.
i’m just sayin’.
rio has digital playground’s full support and is going to have a huge career being true to herself.

Those may not be her exact words but something just like that.
And as far as Florida thing goes. You must not be from the South because I can’t think of anyone who is that would call Florida “the South”. Although it may technically be located in the Southern half of the United States, I assure you Floridians and Southerners are two very, very, very, very, very different birds of prey.
Someone from Oklahoma would be considered from “the South” well before Florida and well, it’s more midwest than Southern.

Rio is gorgeous, and that is what matters.
I hope DP do not allow her to get the anorexia+bolt ons “plastic look” most of his starlet have (Jesse J, Teagan and Katsumi when they joined them, Ridley Steele) and push her do do something about those teeth.
Anyone have any scoop on the DP/Stoya split? Curious what the possible business factors might have been. She had a ton of promotional momentum, and DP even went so far as to remove just about any unauthorized content online. I’m assuming that Stoya herself saw her growing popularity as an opportunity to become independent, or to cut a better deal elsewhere. I do think that Rio has great potential, and possesses something similar to Stoya’s natural assets. Time will tell.
Rio has earthy sexy Latina/German (same mix as Audrey Bitoni, I better start searching for a German chick myself) that is far sexier that Stoya, who I like but has a weird beauty that is more for mainstream modelling. The only thing Rio lacks is that she come across as a good natured simpleton. I like women with some brains over her shoulders. They do not need to be string theory scientist but at least articulate enough not to be boring with their clothes on.
I heard conflicting news about the DP/Stoya situation, some people has told me that she will stay after all, and some people told me that she is gone.
If I were DP I kept her, she has the momentum, the growing fan base, was willing to do harder sex acts than other DP starlets, and they have put a lot of money and even let other girls go in order to promote and keep her happy. The Swastica think was a childish prank by MM that has been blown out of proportion. I mean she is a PW after all, do not expect rational and mature choices from her all the time, she is not running for President.
I don’t want to be pretentious, but I have good info from DP about all is ok with Stoya, Stoya will be as contract girl as usual.
A couple of people in the industry that know the people involved told me she is gone.
You both fellow Sp, sorry, friends might be right. The info I heard is conflicting and supporting each of those theories. That is why DP has not made public announcement yet.
All I can say is my sources are inside of DP 😉
