They really did a great job at mimicking the sets & characters. Mary looks great. It’s just too bad that what looks like a good movie had to come at such a high price…
Mary Carey went through a very public rehab when she appeared on season one of Celebrity Rehab. Dr Drew helped her decide to quit drinking and doing porn. She was still stripping though. Mary also appeared on season two, when she came back to tell everyone how she was doing. She had fallen off the wagon a few times but was still trying to be the girl she wanted to be, and had managed to avoid doing porn. That changed recently. After close to two years with no on camera sex, Mary directed and starred in a movie that is a parody of her stay on Dr Drew’s Celebrity Rehab.
I am sure this is very hurtful to Dr Drew who has shown his caring for Mary on many occasions. Dr Drew Tweeted his feelings on line when he wrote- "For those of you wondering about my feelings about Mary Ellen Cook’s [Mary Carey’s] choice to mock : Res ipsa loquitur. Makes me very sad."
Mary did her sex scene with the beautiful Lexi Tyler. Another bit of Irony to this story is that Penny Flame recently revealed she had a sex addiction and was on the (not yet released) 3rd season of Celebrity Rehab. Penny has a starring role in this movie!

I’m going to venture that most of the viewers only wanted to see Penny Flame and Mary Carey on this show to begin with, so Dr. Drew should consider it fair play. Thanks to the tabloids, guests like Jeff Conway, the retarded Baldwin Brother, and Gary Busey have been publicly known addicts for nearly a decade. Watching them slur their words and evade responsibility on this show held minimal appeal to me because each of those clowns already spent the 1990s honing that very shtick on Geraldo, Howard Stern, and ET. The other guests were even less notable. For example, the singer from Crazy Town may as well have been the lead singer for The Flies or the Primitive Love Gods or any other “Who the fuck are you again?” alternative band. People watched this disaster to see Penny Flame and Mary Carey.
And you gotta love that they have some guy in a wheelchair playing the washout from “Grease.”

Good to see that Mike Horner continues to get work, though where was Steele, he could have been Shifty as he had the mohawk down long before anyone else. Does anyone get it that Steele has got to eat, he might be forced to eat his books. If Luke has to eat his books to live he should go right ahead, especially the ones he wrote. I sure hope the real Dr Drew and Adam Carolla review the movie on Loveline, Adam did a week with Dr Drew recently, and they were soon back to their classic form.
Am I the only one thoroughly bored by Mary Carey? I find this woman really quite annoying.

I watched the show and I didn’t like the way Dr. Drew lumped doing porn in with addiction. He has consistently looked down on the industry and blamed porn for a lot of people’s problems. He was on the Tyra Banks show a few years ago saying that Sasha Grey shouldn’t do porn either. I understand that being in the LA scene can throw you in with a lot of people who do drugs, but the same can be said for a musician or an actor, and he doesn’t tell those people to stop making music or stop acting.
Although it is kind of a low blow to make a porno that deliberately mocks the show. Still, I’d like to see it. I bet it’s entertaining. And I’m going to agree with the notion that a lot of people watched the show to see Mary Carey. I did. I was interested in her story. When the show was first on the air I wasn’t really into porn at the time, but I still was fascinated with her story. And I’m probably going to watch Dr. Drew’s sex rehab even though he tends to piss me off when he talks about sex.
Most whores are addicts, and being a whore if often the byproducct of attention addiction and lazyness. So Dr Drew is right. Shrinks have known that for decades.
He doesn’t lump porn in with addiction, but he’s right that if you are an addict, porn is not the industry for you. The average viewer doesn’t give 2 shits about Mary Carey.
Mary Carey is a snooze fest in everything she does. I almost feel sorry for her because she’s as dumb as a box of cotton balls and uses people as much as they use her.
