LA Direct Models, home to many of the biggest stars in the industry and run by Derek Hay aka Ben English is now adding Directors and Make-up artists to it’s roster. First director on board is Alan Eigen.

In 2008 Alan has added video to his skill set, making him an attractive option for clients looking for top quality still photography without incurring the expense of hiring a separate photographer and videographer.
Having Alan shoot both stills and video not only saves money, but it also gives Alan an opportunity to work work out the details of the scene during the stills, and then seamlessly progress to the video with him and the performers already on the same page. This saves location time, which is money, and makes for a more consistent, higher quality end product.

It’s interesting to see LA Direct are sinking to a new low. Do you really believe producers in the adult industry need to go through a fucking agency to shoot their smut scenes? That’s either a bad joke, or they simly don’t understand what the fuck they’re talking about. Here is why:
1. At the present time companies barely produce new scenes. Those who still do, have their own staff, directors, videographers, etc. The adult industry is relatively a small community and people know each other one way or another. It usually takes a couple of phone calls to a few friends and colleagues to find out anything about anybody and to get whoever you need to get.
2. For the sake of argument let’s say someone is desperate to get a director which again, is very unlikely. But all he needs to do is to post an entry on a place like PornStarPerformance.com. Within an hour, several professional people will respond and our imaginary producer can get a professional to get the work done for a much more reasonable rate, free of the agency fee and the agency hassle.
Apparently these fuckers forgot what’s the intention of an agency in the first place: an agency is supposed to find and sign up new models, mainly and mostly females. They’re not supposed to supply directors and PAs and caterers and trash cans. Whoever shoots porn in this god forsaken town, can and will find directors on his own.
