Rog updates us on Rob Black, Lizzy Borden, Brian Surewood

Bad Week on the Legal Front

by Rog of Rogreviews.com

Black, Borden & Surewood Face Time

With Jack Venice and Max Hardcore already behind bars, this week brought some more bad news on the legal front for the porn industry. First came news that Rob Black and Lizzy Borden put an end to their six-year legal fight by pleading guilty to one count of to of conspiracy to distribute obscene material. AVN.com has a great piece by Mark Kernes on the subject.  With sentences ranging from 10 months to five years still a possibility, the pair could see the inside of a cell though that remains uncertain at this time.

The case revolves around three Extreme Associates movies, the most notable of which was Lizzy Borden’s Forced Entry. For those of you who missed this classic, it features a sexually violent serial rapist who worships Richard Ramirez and dispatches his victims in brutal ways after raping them. It was a movie that Lizzy Borden promised I would hate even before she finished making it. Given the fact that she had pregnant women being beaten, wives forced at gunpoint to tell their husbands they loved being raped and other warm and fuzzy moments, it isn’t a shock that she was dead on. In my final paragraph of the review I wrote the following: (Though this was before I saw a mainstream movie by David DeFalco called CHAOS Director’s Cut that might be the most disturbing thing I’ve ever seen.)

With three scenes of relentless violence and rape, it’s no wonder I didn’t like the sex. In fact, that was a foregone conclusion that Lizzy acknowledged before the movie was even shot. This really isn’t supposed to be erotic. It’s violent, it’s shocking and that’s exactly what the director and performers were going for. The only real question is why. Why would anyone who isn’t looking to jerk off to rape care to waste two hours watching? The truth is, they wouldn’t. Given my feelings on the sex, it’s actually the story that disappoints me most of all. Maybe I am giving Lizzy too much credit here, but there is a story possibility here that might make watching Forced Entry worth while in spite the sex. The idea that someone is out there killing in name of the Nighstalker is an intriguing concept and pretty edgy for porn. Rob Black’s character would make sense in a movie like this. (Though he would have to be toned down considerably.) The potential cat and mouse game could be quite interesting. Instead of this sort of movie, we get three brutal rape scenes without a sense of humor or anything short of absolute darkness. In between these scenes are random scenes of silliness. I’m ready to give Lizzy the benefit of the doubt and assume that there was more of a movie here before Looch left, but as it is, it just falls apart as a feature. What you have is three scenes for people who really don’t think rape scenes go far enough in porn. For you guys, this is bound to be the best fucking porn movie ever made. For everyone else, it’s two hours that could be better spent picking lint from the bottom of our sock drawers. I’d say this was a front runner for worst movie of 2002, but I just got Fossil Fuckers 2 in the mail this week.

I interviewed Rob in 2006 (Read Interview Here about the case and he seemed upbeat about it then. It appears that the Feds dragged things out long enough to make it very hard on Rob and Lizzy. I would imagine that they were hoping that a new administration might change course. No such luck there. (I’m pretty sure a few industry folks owe me a beer on that bet.) At any rate, two more filmmakers are likely to go to jail and/or face heavy fines for making porn. I may not like a lot of the movies Rob and Lizzy make, but I hate seeing someone to go jail for making a flick. Hopefully the judge will decide that they don’t deserve to be locked up, even for making movies like Fossil Fuckers.

Gene Ross (Adultfyi.com)  is reporting in his article that Brian Surewood’s legal troubles have come to a head. According to the story he is facing another 3 to 4 years after a plea deal in his murder/road rage trial. This is a horrible case. Brian is a really nice guy and I have always believed that he never meant to hurt anyone. He just got himself into a situation with another driver that spiraled out of control and the result was the death of a small child. He apparently entered a plea without admitting guilt, had a number of the more serious charges dropped and is being giving credit for time served. The story doesn’t say what the other defendant might be facing, but I would be curious to see what that guy gets.

It has been interesting to see the reaction from the porn industry to Brian’s case compared to those of Max, Rob or Jack Venice. It is pretty easy to see which of them have made the most friends over the years. A lot of people have reached out with support for Brian while some of the others have been taken away without much fuss. Hopefully Brain will serve his time, get out early for good behavior and return to doing what he loves.

i’ve cracked out on the hardest core porn. it’s often depressing and generally has me asking forgiveness from a god i don’t even believe in. i gotta say, max’s and rob black’s stuff is straight raw rape. it can’t be good for the average man’s psyche. i also think it’s a degradation fantasy that can possibly lead a person with a weak mind and ill will down a path to executing an actual criminal fantasy. i’m all for the first amendment, but still i don’t know. to me it seems they should be put in jail.

i guess i’ll defer to the colonel on this one. i can’t wait to read his or big dick daddy’s opinion.

I’m glad to hear this news. All these people got what they deserved, because they kept crossing the line and thought they could get away with their wrong doings and hide behind the first amendment right, freedom of expression or whatever pathetic excuse they were clinging to. I said it before and I’ll say it again, and I don’t give two fucks who agrees or disagrees with me: there’s gotta be a limit to excersing the first amendment right or expressing yourself; and if sometimes we need to put our foot down and kick some ass to clarify that limit and set an example for the others, so be it.

Rob Black had a fatal flaw: he thought he was bad ass, he thought he was cool and smart. He fucked up his reputation years ago when he started bouncing checks on performers and directors. He used to shoot the most hardcore and degrading material with naive new comers, stuff like puking, getting slapped, getting pissed at, etc. for the cheapest rates, and pay them with bad checks which he knew would get bounced, and when girls were calling him to ask for their money, he was yelling at them and threatening them. He fucked Tom Byron, Brandon Iron and many other directors out of thousands of dollars. Brandon Iron once said: If Rob would have paid me what he owed me, I could have had enough money to pay the down payment on a house. That was Rob Black’s nature: to fuck with people because he thought he could get away with it. He did the same thing when the government brought the obscenity charges against him and his vile movies, he posed as the adult industry’s crusader against the government’s tyranny, he expected people like me to pay for his legal expenses so he can stay in business and keep shooting disgusting, horrible shit and screwing girls and directors out of their money. But this time he fucked up, nobody in this industry has no sympathy for him and his wife.

And the same goes for Brian Surewood, a child killing, drug dealing man whore who destroyed a family over some stupid street race. Fuck these people. Fuck all of them. I hope the government locks them up and throws away the key. The only thing that pisses me off is that now they’re a burden on my and other tax payers shoulders. What a waste of my hard earned fucking money.

Jack Venice is not a loss for the porn industry.

I don’t feel sorry for the Zicaris, but from reading their interviews, one thing I’ve gathered is neither came across as particularly intelligent, so I’m not surprised they can’t hold their own on this case.

  4. These people are either psychotic or indescribably stupid. Self-destruction seems to be running rampant in the industry in recent months or maybe the time has just come to pay the piper

  5. I saw these slimeballs on PBS Frontline a few years ago. Lizzy Borden made some depicable comment about how she was going to assualt her friend. A little later, the Frontline cameramen couldn’t take it anymore and hightailed it out of there.

It’s actually been a good year for prosecutions, thus good for porn. I’m proud that our government has put people like Misogynist Max, Street Car Surewood, Jack the Ripper Venice where they belong.

It’ll be an early Christmas present if SLizzy Borden and Shit Rob Black spend some time in the slammer.

  6. Real Luke Ford Fan says:

Jack Venice and Brian Surewood definitely commited crimes and got what they deserved IMHO, Rog.

  7. eisforeric says:

^^Exactly. It doesn’t matter if them being porn stars impacted their sentences, they still did stupid shit.

  8. It’s beyond comprehension to me that anyone would support Streetcar Surewood.

  9. >>if sometimes we need to put our foot down and kick some ass to clarify that limit and set an example for the others, so be it.<<

The question is who is in charge of clarifying this limit. You? Me? Pat Robertson? Sarah Palin? Max Hardcore? It’s really surprising to me that people who make a living off x-rated material would advocate locking people up. There are people out there who would support locking up anyone who runs or visits a website like Luke is Back. Be careful before you are shoved down the slippery slope yourself people.

  10. JohnnieMontecito says:

Rob Black has been asking for this for years. I am honestly surprised he got away with it this long. I would never help this guy with his legal fund.

I personally think adult needs to find a reasonable bounds and limits. Donkey punching, Rape, Brutalizing of women and many other acts are not needed. Sex needs to be a beautiful and erotic thing. That does not mean that it cant also be hardcore. But at some point there is a crossing if a line from decent to wrong.

I have said for years that adult needs to police it’s self and set some guidelines that everyone can live with in and make a buck and still be good quality. Pushing boundaries is great and all but at some point you have to stop.

  11. The Colonel says:

    Satyric says:

‘The question is who is in charge of clarifying the limits.’

The limits are clear enough for anybody who wants to see; for instance inflicting physical, psychological and eomtional pain on unsuspecting victems under the pretence of making movies and exercising the first amendment right like Max Hardcore & Rob Black did for years is one good example of crossing the line and stepping over the limits.

I make a living off X-rated material and that’s exactly why I do not support those who paint a vile picture of my industry by their ignorant, selfish and vicious acts. In this industry we have enough problems without assholes like Max Hardcore & Rob Black. They created this mess, let them deal with it’s consequences. Period.

  12. I’m going to emphasize once again: It is incomprehensible to me that ANYONE would come to the defense of these lowlifes. RAPE. VIOLENCE. RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT. They belong OUT of porn and in jail.

  13. Well I think the porn industry should “police” itself then. Why on earth were Black and Max Hardcore allowed to sell their product for years and years if they were doing all this vile crap? Apparently you think that the porno industry can’t handle something like policing itself and that you need the government to come in and crackdown. Well next time it might be you they are cracking down on, think about it.

  14. Satyric, there really isn’t a “porn industry”. At least not anything like the movie, music, or any other legitimate industry.

The porn industry is mostly made up of private companies that basically do whatever they want. There isn’t even a real estimate of what the porn industry makes as the real numbers are never released.

A lot of the people in porn are uneducated dregs of society that exploit whomever they can. People like Maximum Max and SLizzy Borden are the one’s that took it to the absolute extreme.

Since there isn’t a Porn Industry to stop such vile acts and because the state of California didn’t lift a finger to regulate the industry the Feds stepped in and mercifully stopped the carnage.

  15. The Colonel says:

I’d like to quote Larry Flynt to get my point across:

‘If you do something indefensible and unjustifyable, that will eventually get you in trouble.’

To anybody with half a brian and less dignity, beating and slapping young girls soaked in piss and vomit under the pretence of making a movie and expressing yourself is both indefensible and unjustifyable. Each adult producer must police himself and choose his actions carefully. We don’t have a facility and tools to police an oversaturated industry in which any Joe Schmoe with a video camera can film his crack whore wife in his crappy apartment and call himself a producer. Therefore when people like Max Hardcore & Rob Black over step their personal and professional boundaries, they will eventually face the consequences forced upon them by the government authorities who do have the facility and tools to police the adult industry.

On the other hand, I don’t discriminate, anybody who crosses the line deserves to be punished. If I ever do what Max Hardcore & Rob Black did, I’ll gladly accept the government to crack down on me and punish me and put me away; but that’s not going to happen. After nearly 3 decades in this business, I know how the game works. Apparently those guys didn’t, so now they’ve got something to learn. Too bad it’s too late.

  16. ok guys help me about max hardcore, max obviously got these girls back to his home(assuming his home) for the shoots. don’t you think these girls knew what they were getting into. from the modeling agency or if they did any homework, they should know going in he does alot of assfucking, throatfucking. it’s also apparent in these videos the girls are not liking it,on the verge of crying, if they have had enough during the shoot, can’t they just ” i quit i do’nt want to do this any more”. since i’m not in the industry help me on this one

  17. Yea I don’t get it either. If everyone thought Max was as horrible as some are saying here he should have been shunned from the industry, modeling agencies, tape and DVD distributers, porno awards stuff etc etc, any of the business side.

I shunned Max myself and I’m just some porn fan, I didn’t like the nature of where his product was going so I stopped buying it. It seems that people were just concerned with making a few buck$ and didn’t want to take any principled stand, and are now willing to throw Max to the big intrusive govt sex police wolves.

Are They still trying to throw John Stagliano in jail? For what? Max was a easy target but now they will go after others. Who next?

  18. Pornfan, Max’s career had an arc. Here goes. Max first started doing amateur porn in the early 90’s. He caught the tailwind of the Pro-Am explosion (guys like Ed Powers, Randy West, and Buttman) and created the highly successful Anal Adventures of Max Hardcore. This was pretty revolutionary to porn back then, fucking every single girl in their ass in multiple positions. Anyway, Max was hugely successful with his Max shtick except there was one problem. It wasn’t a shtick, Max really is a misogynistic sadist, it’s not an act!

So, Max peaked very early in his career and by the mid 90’s he started doing vile things to girls like sticking straws in the ass, cracking eggs on their face, anything to further degrade women. Max spiraled down throughout the late 90’s and by the new millennium the only girls he could violate were drugged out and desperate “D” girls.

Of course, by then Max was also mired in legal wrangling with the Feds. Max got lucky a couple of times but the Feds weren’t going to stop until they got their man. In reality, Max career ended long before his prison sentence started. I say the first 3 or 4 years weren’t too bad but after that he was an out of control sociopathic sex offender and he should have been brutally murdered instead of being allowed to continue.

  19. ” Anyway, Max was hugely successful with his Max shtick except there was one problem. It wasn’t a shtick, Max really is a misogynistic sadist, it’s not an act!”

That is the opinion of some of Max “survivors”, that the scary thing is that is not a act. Max is really like that.

I hope he has a nice time in prision.

  20. hey, in pornster response to mine, what is a “D” girl? is like a skank, crackhead? also turning the comments from Max for a sec, can anybody tell me what happened to a couple of milfs that came to my mind? the first is leslie laroux, a stripper by trade, did some porn back in 04′-05′. did advd for score group and some other shit for homegrown video. guys if you remember say what you will but i found hot! the other one is named catalina l’amour. did some bondage movies back in the late 90’s usually portrayed the sub. she was known for having fat pussy lips. thanks guys!

  21. Yeah, a “D” girl is one of those girls you pick up on the street and she’ll fuck you for some meth.

  22. freepornstarpix says:

    what is a “D” girl?

He means D-list. Max used to get talent like Briana Banks, Alexa Rae, and Stephanie Swift in his movies. Supposedly Briana and Alexa had bad experiences during their shoots with him. Anyway, in recent years, he hasn’t gotten talent of that quality to work with him.
