Rumor is six people got laid off from AVN this week. Trying to get the names from anyone working there was just not going to happen for me. So I took a different tactic.
I took AVN’s current online masthead of employees and matched it against the printed masthead in the newest issue of each of their magazines. Now this is certainly not the best way to find out who is no longer there, and probably won’t be 100% accurate.
So all I’m going to say is the following people ( in red) are missing from AVN’s online masthead list. Draw your own conclusions.

DAMN! They cut their staff by over 1/3. I guess now only Alcohol and Fast Food are recession proof, because apparently Porn no longer is…
I don’t know 4 of the missing, but I hope they don’t feel the pain of unemployment for long. 1 of the missing, well… I won’t say anything to get myself bad karma, but I will say karma is a bitch…
Then 1 of the missing really saddens me. I really hate to see the young lady have to go through something like that. Though I have a feeling somebody in the industry will come through for her with a good job. Her light is too good to let fade away. I know that sounds corny, but if you’ve met her you know of what I speak.
Finally, is Senior above or below Associate? I would think Senior is above, so it’s strange they laid off a Senior before an Associate.
