What did u think of this poem? UPDATED

Black won’t be asked to give back; ; Brown can stick around; Yellow will be mellow; The red man can get ahead man; And White will embrace right. What kind of bullshit is that? The Obama administration begins its tenure by insulting every white person in the country….even the white morons who voted for him.

NL- Guys I didn’t post this, Iol, I voted for Obama. I don’t know who did. Makes you go hmm..

  1. What a moronic post! Rev. Lowery is an old member of a civil right movement and for much of his early adult life wasn’t allowed to piss in the same bathroom or eat in the same restaurants as white people. And here he was 40 years after MLK’s assassination delivering the Benediction for the first black President in U.S. history. White did embrace what’s right when they proved that the color of someone’s skin was irrelevant and instead listened to a message that resonated with much more people than that of the two Mavericks and a political party that couldn’t utter the word “economy” during their convention. I’m white, far from a moron, and I voted for Obama. I was not offended by Rev. Lowery. I was just happy he rhymed after that God awful poet that couldn’t read her own poem.

  2. Also, Reverend Lowery IS NOT A REPRESENTATIVE of the Obama administration.

  3. Real Luke Ford Fan says:

    This “poem” is so real that all the mainstream news organisations are reporting on it. lol

  4. Good grief! It was simply a plea for racial harmony and social justice.
    By the way, what Rev. Lowery actually said was “Black won’t be asked to get back”!

  5. 87 year old Reverend Lowery delivered this benediction. He was a key figure in the American Civil Rights movement back in the 50’s and 60’s.

    Maybe the words weren’t well chosen but I’m willing to bet that Rev. Lowery has used these words over and over again since the 60’s (it does sound 60’s or 70’s doesn’t it? “Black won’t be asked to get in back” as in back of the bus “yellow will be mellow” as in they call me yellow mellow song, etc) and he probably has said it countless times as a good reverend does to lighten the mood. It worked for me.

    That being said, the old coot seemed cool to me. I wasn’t around during the civil rights days but it certainly was an incredible time in American history. It’s hard not to respect what it took to finally get the right to fucking use the same bathroom or water fountain for Christ sake, let alone the right to sit on a bus, go to a desegegrated school or even vote!

    Think of all that and how it still took 50 years to get a black president and I think everyone should be willing to let an old funny saying slide.

    What the hell is wrong with you twats? Did you even read the post?

    -pornster
    “Black won’t be asked to get in back” as in back of the bus “

    It says GIVE back not get back which you for some reason turned to back of the bus.

    “White will embrace right”

    How is this an insult. It’s a prop if anything.

    What exactly is there to be upset about? That he mentioned white last? Quit your crying and get the sand out of your vaginas.

  7. Black won’t be asked to give back;
    (Blacks will not ask to get to the back of the bus)

    ; Brown can stick around (latinos and middle easteners will not be deported)
    ; Yellow will be mellow (what the fuck was that, it means that Asians work to much? or it just sounded good);
    The red man can get ahead man (that is for Monstar and Carmen Hart)
    ; And White will embrace right (the Obamassiah will make whitey behave).

  8. Sanchez, I read the post but it is wrong. Rev. Lowery said “Black will not be asked to GET BACK”. And yes, you are the twat now and forevermore.
