An Open Letter About Adam & Eve
I wanted to comment regarding the latest news about Adam & Eve. For too long, I have sat somewhat quietly in disbelief at how this company continues to achieve constant embarrassment under Adam & Eve’s head of production, Meredith Christopher. Instead of being our industry’s biggest force with their infinite resources in both the financial and marketing realms, they have instead become a punch line with an ever-growing list of "egg on the face" messes.
Before I even get into this latest "mess," I wanted to bring up previous avoidable mistakes I have been witness to over the years. Under this administration Adam and Eve have had countless issues with the faces of their company, the contract stars. We all know porn girls aren’t perfect, but Meredith Christopher could have avoided a lot of the more publicized issues all together or at least taken care of them in house if she understood what was required from someone in her position. For starters she helped drive Carmen Luvana into early retirement; signed a girl (Sophia Lynn) who made national news for instability, drug issues, and saying that what she did made her feel dirty but she needed the money. Meredith Christopher signed another promising star (Ava Rose) who battled both weight and drug issues; did not renew Austyn Moore’s contract because she opened up her mouth about their internal problems (Ava did as well); and now Kayden Kross is being brought up on federal charges to add another black spot to the company.
Only Bree Olson has succeeded due to her performances, and the clean sweep she made at all the awards shows last year is due to her work before signing with Adam & Eve. I sincerely hope Meredith Christopher and company do not screw up what is a very promising career for this young star like they have with so many in the past.
The fact of the matter is that over the years anyone who has been under contract with Adam & Eve has been nothing short of disappointed about their time there when all was said and done. Do you think that if Tera, Jesse, or Stormy were under contract there they would be even half the stars they became with their companies?
For their movies, they continue to put out sub-par productions despite spending arguably more money than their peers. Anyone remember the doll that was used as Carmen’s "stunt double" in Tail Gunners? What about the top of the guy’s head in the middle of the shot in Lady Scarface? (People who have seen it refer to it as the "tumble weed.") What was the last award they won for something they were in direct control of that wasn’t "Best Packaging"? Rawhide, over five years ago?
In the past, Meredith Christopher has produced bomb after bomb. There is no quality control with the movies. For example, Eden was a big budget movie to mimic the success of the Island Fever franchise produced by Digital Playground, yet it was publicly said by those involved that it was a disaster from the get-go. Sure it might have sold some copies, but once again, that’s in spite of itself. Adam & Eve have a loyal customer base with their catalogs and website; imagine if they made quality movies with quality directors, how much they would sell then?
Meredith Christopher’s lack of judgment has not only been apparent in her hires but her non-hires as well. She has passed on quality award winning directors; as well as bankable, professional and high selling talent. Sasha Grey or Eva Angelina ring a bell? If you added the sales and trophies of those passed up by her for what can only be described as personal reasons or preferences, it would make your head spin.
Look, I could spend hours pointing out various other "debacles" under this regime over the years that parallel this latest snafu which was also picked up by the press (i.e. their West Coast office, various other hirings, movies, etc.), but neither time nor space permit. My point is simple; this latest fiasco is nothing short of embarrassing. How could you think that it was even ethically okay for them to work with Eli in this capacity? It would be like them using Paul Thomas, Brad Armstrong, or Robby D. with Vivid, Wicked or Digital Playground’s equipment to "produce" a movie for them. She knew Eli was under contract, and the proper thing to do before proceeding on anything involving him would have been to pick up a phone and call SexZ and ask. It’s not rocket science. It is basic business acumen and ethics. Now, based on Bob Christian’s statements, it seems like nothing short of the old passing of the buck to keep his protégé, Meredith Christopher squeaky clean. And her comments? She claims they’re innocent victims? That’s nothing short of ridiculous.
The bottom line is that the buck stops at Meredith Christopher as their Director of Production. More negative things have been said about the projects she has overseen than any other person in the same position with any other company in adult. Meredith Christopher has shown by her actions and decisions time and time again that she is not qualified to be in the position that she is in; and it’s time they made a change to be the force they should be in this industry. Bob Christian has to have realized this; and if he hasn’t or doesn’t now, then maybe his time is up there too. Way too many problems have occurred under this administration, and it’s time to make a change. Yes you can!

I always wondered the same about Adam and Even contract policies.
Things like Sophia Lynn, Ava Rose and Kayden Cross problems could have been adverted by pschological testing and a back ground check.
Sophia Lynn was not mentaly fit for porn, peridod and shame on LA Direct again for binging her to porn Valley. The Rose sisters drug problems were well known and some background check on Kayden might have revealed something or not if done properly.
Who the fuck wrote this stupid letter? I get it, another piece of shit fan boy who thinks he’s entitled to an opinion because he jerks off to a bunch of video whores. Fuck you, son, you’re entitled to shit. The fact of the matter is that signing exclusive contracts with porn whores is a grave mistake, and is not as profitable as some outsiders might think. Having said that, I must mention it’s a completely stupid idea to expect a company to babysit their contract whores and constantly monitor them in their private lives and prevent them from getting sleazy boy friends or too much partying or doing drugs or whatever the fuck these fan boy assholes may not like about their favorite whores, and hold that company accountable. It’s an immature, unrealistic and pathetic way of thinking. How I hate these fucking pigs.
Sir, I agree on you on the rationale of having contract girls but if you what to do it anyways some companies have much better practices that others. Example Wicked. I have not hear a serious scandal with a Wicked girl compared with Adam and Eve, Vivid (Lord have mercy) or even Digital Playground. So the management have some guilt in selecting the wrong PWs for contracts.
For example who was the fucktard that allowed ABC to interview and follow Sophia Lynn with a camera in Adam and Eve. O my God, that was apalling. She has “serious childhood sexual abuse survivor with cronic PTSD/Multiple personality disorder” written all over her. And she was fucked up on cocaine and heroine most of the time. Sometime she barely can hold her eyes open.
Rics, I agree that some contract whores are less drama queen than some others, but the problem I have with this open letter is that the writer tends to hold a company accountable for the activities of their contract performers in their private lives, that just doesn’t make sense. Some whores are smart enough to understand their priorities and act rational, some are stupid, and as soon as see the color of money, indulge themselves with booze and drugs and partying and parasite boyfriens and don’t care about the consequences of their actions. Case in point, Nikki Tyler who in the 90’s lost her Vivid contract for becoming an alcoholic fuck up. While some others are self destructive, like Janine who when was asked about why does she get too many tatoos, replied: I’m planning to cover my whole body in tattos so porn companies no longer hire me.
Porn companies are not responsible for performer’s behaviour in their personal lives. A producer’s intentions are to hire performers and produce viable material and boost his sales revenues. Adult performers, like the rest of adult people, must realize their own priorities and care for their own well being.
The whole idea that someone would expect a whore to behave like a rational person is laughable. Just what kind of person do you think gets into porn? Where do you think these people will be in 10 years? A good porn slut shows up when she’s supposed to, does the job she was hired to do, collects her pimp’s pay…(err her agents pay), and gets the f k on to her next job. These people will all eventually end up in the same place on exceptions, talkin to U Jenna. Eventually the money runs out, boyfriends come and go and if the whore has kids they grow to hate mommy because at some point she becomes an embarrassment because years of whoring have left her incapable of behaving like anything else. If you’re dumb enought to get in a long term relationship with one count on a trailor park future with a chain smoking, meth addicted, cheating drama queen who can never ever seem to make the right desisions but everyone else will be to blame
I do not think that porn companies have a real clue about any negative issues that potential contract girls have, because there is not a series 3 or 4 of panel interviews held where they get something of a chance to know the performer and figure out if this is someone they want representing their company. They mainly focus on looks, so signing a new girl ends up being a crap shoot. The Meggan Mallone fiasco at Vivid was much worse than anything that happened at Adam and Eve.

But yes Vivid (Lord have mercy, all crimes are paid) get the cream of the cream.

Meggan Malone claimed to have never done scenes when she signed with Vivid. But she had done a ton and even had a solo site called MegganPowers.com. Plus she had done plenty of hardcore scenes Nubiles.net and Lusted.com with her boyfriend at the times. She’d also been shot nude extensively by Met-Art.com and ALS Scans. HomeGrown Video also bought some of her scenes from a guy in Texas and released her first two videos way ahead of her Vivid debut.
I do think her contract was adjusted so that she gets less $$$, etc, because Vivid didn’t get the exclusive on her video debut after hyping her as ‘their new girl’. Also, I also think her contract with them is different than the other girls, because she shot for DDGirls.com after she got her breast implants and was under contract. The only other Vivid Girl I’ve seen shoot stills for another company while under contract is Sunny Leone for InTheVip.com and her contract is definitely different than the usual Vivid contract, because she got to keep her web empire and hasn’t done any of the things other Vivid Girls are now required to do in order to stay with the company.
When she signed with Vivid, the guy that discovered her Texas was furious. He said he had the goods on Meggan and he wasn’t bluffing. There are a ton of other companies that have way more Meggan Malone content than Vivid.
She is photogenic, but just looks out of it on video.

Toys are the big seller for Adam and Eve, not video; they will survive the porn meltdown no matter what performers they have signed.
Wasn’t it Heather Veitch who had ABC following Sophia Lynn around? I respect her, she actually did help Sophia by getting a church in South Dakota to give her employment, a place to stay, and a support system. She didn’t just use her for photo ops and then throw in her overboard with no life jacket (like the XXX Church and Shelley Lubben did with Trinity James).

About Sophia Lynn, yes it was Heather Veitch and she did got her that Church in SD to support her after she did two months of drug rehab in New Jersey.
I hope Heather helps get her some support in Florida too now that C.L.B. (Sophia Lynn) has been reunited with her daughter. Given the nature and origin of Sophia Lynn’s troubles (prolonged sexual abuse starting at a early age) she will most likely need years of therapy.
For some reasons (personal life and image, the fact she sometimes is too non judgmental toward some people in the industry) Heather Veitch have never enjoyed the support that Shelley Lubben enjoys.
For example Heather never has been able to keep a websito going for any lenght of time.
And is a pity.
