Gerard Damiano has passed on. He will be long remembered for directing (in) famous movies such as The Devil In Miss Jones, & Deep Throat. Known as a warm and loving man, he was well loved by those in and out of the industry. He recently celebrated his 80th birthday with family and friends. I never knew or met him but I did work on The New DMJ (and was also slandered by “Deep Throat” on XPT) so I guess that’s some kind of loose connection.
He could make a real film, not this garbage we see today. Could be wrong, but I dont think he got any real money out of Deep Throat. Good man, my condelences to his family.
I saw him interviewed in “Inside Deep Throat”, he seemed like a decent man. He wanted to make adult movies with a plot and decent acting, nobody ever came close but him.
I actually saw that movie in a theater.
