Long Time Performer/Director Dead at 53
I got a call from Bridgette Monroe today saying that adult performer/director Buck Adams passed away at around 2PM today.
According to Buck’s Profile on IAFD.com he starred in nearly 700 movies and directed 80 more. (I suspect that latter number is higher since I’m pretty sure he directed under other names as well.) The brother of porn legend Amber Lynn, Buck was a solid male performer back in the 80’s and did some impressive high end movies from behind the camera.
Bridgette spoke to me on the phone and told me a story about Buck. "He was the director on my first shoot." She said. "I was nervous as hell. I was on my first shoot, working with a girl for the first time in my life and when I get there I hear this screaming from behind a door. I though ‘I have to work for that?’ He came out and smiled at me. He said ‘Hey who are you?’ I told him my name (Paulina Downs at the time) and he had a big smile on his face the rest of the day. During the scene he asked if I was still a virgin because I was so pink and tiny down there. That was the sweetest thing."
It was also Adams who convinced Bridgette to work with Jeff Stryker in one of his cross over projects (Ladies Man) "I didn’t want to do it, but Buck kept telling me how hot Jeff was. I met him and he was HOT. So it was a good thing he talked me into it."
Best wishes to Amber and the rest of Buck’s family and friends. If there is a memorial service I will post the info as it comes in.

Sad to hear the news. Buck didnt take care of himself well, he was always in decent body shape, but he had some heart problems. Last time I saw him he looked old, like 10 years older than he was. Buck’s gone, Gerald’s gone, Ron’s gone, but that slug Bill Margold still roams the Valley. Did Saint Bill try to cash in on Ron’s death? Betcha it went through his mind.
They’re dropping like flies aren’t they. There was also lawyer David Wasserman and porn stars Missy and Anastasia Blue.
He seemed ripped in the 80’s, possibly into heavy roid use and every other drug known to man.
Sad, but he really looked like a shadow of his former self. It wasn’t but just a week ago I was chatting with someone online about how far downhill he had gone.
He really almost looked like a doofus.
Don’t abuse drugs people.
Buck had a bad heart, he was always a kind person and a great woodsman, who would do anything you wanted him to. I did one of the most hilarious scenes of my career with Buck,in Boobwatch,I’m sad he died. My condolences to Amber.
With all the coke he did having a bad heart is not a rarity.
But he seemed a likable guy unlike most of the modern porn studs.
