About the male patient zero that I SUSPECT to be the source of the outbreak, he is retired since october 2007. But the HIV has an incubation period, it doesn’t just pops up one day later.
So, stop worrying with gossips: if you worked with female/tranny talent recently, JUST DO YOUR TESTING. Is that so hard? Maybe you got lucky and you’re clean.

Being that it’s Brazil and Trannies, there’s a 50-50 chance that there might actually be an HIV outbreak. But as rics points out, Smartt has all the credibility of a former congressman running a used car lot. Even though he’s on record as being intimate with some of Brazil’s TS community.
You’re wise to hold off on posting the names until there’s some sort of independent verification.

Speaking from the producer/production end of things, any director or producer that does not get certification of RECENT tests and then double checks with the testing agency is a lowlife motherfucker that does not deserve to profit form this business. Don’t get me wrong – I am a firm believer in profiting from the informed and consensual sexual exploitation of others, but we should ALL profit from it, and do so safely. The quickest way to make porn change from easy money to easy death is to skimp on testing – this is one of those situations where honesty is the ONLY policy. On everyone’s part.
NO ONE works for my shoots that cannot provide VERIFEID recent tests for everything that I cannot verify on my own independently. It simply isn’t worth it to endanger the talent – I don’t need to money that badly, and neither do they. I would rather be able to sleep with myself and look myself, and those I work with and that work for me, in the face.
That is also why I pay around double what lots of the other studios do – my talent is honest about their testing or they ain’t my talent. Period.
