Leisure Time Digital says try them again..

THERE ARE ONLY 3 COMMERCIALS PER DVD! THERE WERE UP TO 40 ON SOME OF THE OLDER DISCS!"

NL- I recieved the below PRESS RELEASE to let me know that Leisure Time Digital now has less self-promoting commercials and phone sex ads, and that the "defectives" are being corrected.  The person quoted is  a LTD spokesperson, no name, no title.  Press releases are supposed to PROMOTE a company and create a buzz about the product. Am I crazy, or does this note sound like -Hi, we suck less now, check us out? 

Leisure Time Digital is offering its first all new releases under the control of Sunshine Films and there is one major change- fewer commercials. Known for its unique mix of titles and hard-core covers, Leisure Time also had the reputation of having an abundance of commercials on its DVDs. “Not this time around”, says a spokesman for LT. “We have made arrangements to cut the number of self-promoting commercials and phone sex ads down to only 3 per DVD! The biggest complaint we heard from customers was about the number of competing ads, so we asked that they be reduced significantly.

” The line itself will still have the same look and content because all the production staff have been left in place. “Why mess with what made the line great?” Continued the spokesman. “We knew it was a strong line with wide appeal.

But we also knew there were two complaints- the number of commercials and the defective problem. We began correcting the defectives immediately with all re-mastered and re-authored releases from the old library and now have taken care of the other problem.” “If you haven’t tried Leisure Time recently, you don’t know Leisure Time at all!” The spokesperson said in closing.

    What about…
    -Packaging that lists and/or has photos of performers who do not appear on the disc.
    -Packaging that suggests 2 hours of the best of one performer, instead having two scenes of that performer and 8 scenes of unknown fugly chicks.
    -Every disc mastered at quality level worse than VHS SLP.
    -First 5 minutes of DVD filled with clutter (not all ads) that you can’t skip past.
    -Inconsistent audio levels from chapter to chapter.
    -Skipping to the next chapter triggers a phone sex ad before chapter starts.
    -Same scenes used in many, many compilation discs. (Buy one, you’ve bought them all!).
    -One disc sold under three different names or “catalog numbers”.
    -2 hour discs that clock in at 1:45
    -4 hour discs that clock in at 3:45
    -8 hour discs. Seriously. 8 hour discs??? An Atari 2600 had better resolution.

    Oh, well. At least they’ve cut down to only 3 ads. Of course…each ad is no doubt 5 minutes long.
