As reported exclusively on TMZ, former HGTV “Design On A Dime” host Lee Snijders has made the move from mainstream into pornography. Snijders becomes the first ever television personality to go from in front of the camera on television to behind the camera in pornography.
www.gothrockgirls.com is the debut adult entertainment web site of Snijders and girlfriend, former actress and current mainstream photographer Jett Angel. Jett is a high-end fashion photographer who also specializes in photographing glam-goth models. Together, the couple has created a new company entitled Exxxcel, Inc.
Goth Rock Girls is an "all-girl" punk rock porn site shot in hi-definition with a high end "reality" format that shows the two producers as a power couple who bring these girls to life as they hold their cameras and direct the action. Snijders and Angel have four other reality adult websites in development, along with a reality TV show in development, currently entitled "The Dirty Biz." The show idea is based on their everyday lives and the trials and tribulations of starting a porn company from the ground up with no prior experience while dealing with their former main stream careers. Exxxcel Inc. will be launching six downloadable DVD series entitled "Goth Rock Girls" this year.
Lee Snijders comments on the career move. “I tried to continue my relationship with HGTV by pitching them show ideas but unfortunately they were not interested and the company did not renew my contract. I found myself auditioning for design shows with models and actors posing as designers while my competitors got their own shows on HGTV. With the housing market crash and being stereotyped as a budget designer, I stayed flexible, open minded and moved on.”
“One morning over breakfast, Lee and I were discussing how frustrated he was with his situation,” says Jett Angel. “I said to him, you know production, I know photography, let’s shoot porn!
TMZ broke the story stating, “While the network continues to regularly air episodes featuring former host Lee Snijders, we’ve learned the guy who helped homeowners for more than six years is still giving advice to couples — but purely of the girl-on-girl variety nowadays. Snijders used the cash he raked in from "DoaD" and his stint as a Disney Imagineer to start his own porn company with girlfriend Jett Angel. You can even catch Lee in several of the reality-style skin flicks manning the camera (or so we’ve heard).”
