- Playboy, the biggest company in the adult sector, has a non-existent presence at the show. Club Jenna and Spice Studios, their hardcore properties, are totally missing. The only bunny is at the tiny Playboy Radio booth, which looks like they spent about $500 on. I hear Jenna Jameson isn’t even in town.
- KSEX was sold to Vavoom. Will 2002 be the year of KSEX? Oops, I mean 2008.
- Teagan Presley was on the show floor this week handing out promo cards for her website. She looked "scary skinny" according to one account.
- To clarify an earlier post from the week, it was only the AVN Awards show that was sold by AVN. The AEE shows is already owned by Home Entertainment Events. Paul Fishbein gets a percentage of gross revenues off the top.
- I hear Vivid tried to pull out of having a booth, but the Expo people cajoled them into not bailing. It would have looked very bad to the public and the press if the biggest star (Jenna Jameson) and the biggest company (Vivid) were both no-shows.
- Since it hit it’s peak in 2004-05, the Expo has gotten smaller every year. Some aisles between booths are 20 feet wide. Besides Club Jenna, several prominent companies, including Zero Tolerance and New Sensations, have no booth. Sin City, always one of the biggest booths at the show, has a tiny 10×20 spot way back.
- If Mark Spiegler bans his girls from dating within the industry, why was Rebeca Linares all over director Chris Streams throughout the entire week? I hear they have been dating for close to 6 months.

Jenna is still in Los Angeles. But why would she be there? She has nothing to do with Club Jenna. Jay runs it, he funded it with his own millions of dollars, and Jenna has always only been just the name and the face. But isn’t this convention suppose to be “for the fans”? She should be there but she cares more about LaLa Land than anything else. But seems to forget that she would be nothing without those porn fans. Always thought she was highly overrated. Thanks to Brad Armstrong and Jay Grdina for making a mountain out of a molehill. And she was never highly regarded for her performing skills either. Great publicity team around her. And she insists she’s this “business woman”. She’s said that so many times that she now believes it. She married the right, rich men. But does nothing but trash them still to this day. She runs nothing and all her companies are run by others while she is only paid to front them.
Why did Vivid want to pull out? And Club Jenna turned down a booth for a hotel suite I read.
And how can anyone ban someone from dating within the industry? It’s their lives. And don’t most in the industry date one another?

I just got back from AVN in Vegas and it was incredible lame, much smaller then years past and a complete waste of time. I’m too tired to go into great detail but I’m sure alot of people regretted going. The question I have for any LA people that went:
What is worth it? Did you get ANY business taken care of?

Why was it lame? TELL US! But I did read it has gotten smaller since it’s peak around 2003-2004. Do the major companies not put any money into having booths because they are cheap bastards? And do the major stars like Jenna Jameson not go because they can make money from walking a runway show with her botched up breast implant scars showing?
LOL Getting business done with a brunch of drunk drugged up people? Uh no! But I did shoot a bunch of scenes with local hags for my client lol!
I think it is a severe misstake by Jenna Jameson to retire from the adult film industry, especially when you are the biggest adult film star ever, this could hurt yourself, and even more so ClubJenna.

It’s really is mind shattering that Vavoom Media is buying or has already bought KSEX? They really did a bad job at the recent AVN especially when their CEO or President was screaming at his wife, who was laying on the ground in tears at their booth on Saturday! Very Professional job guys!

Vavoom has proven to be lame. I also signed a contract with them and they have not followed through. I also was contacted by an attorney claiming that he was handed over all of the shares of the company thanks to Stephen Brown owing him a $1M judgment. Doesn’t make much sense since Stephen Brown (the husband of the 925-cc wife) supposedly made 97million from selling a company. A bunch BS!
