The truth is people just dont know how to shoot Hidef…its what 2 megapixels…thats nothing when I shoot a magazine layout its 11 mega pixels so dont whine to me because porners are fucking incompetent videographers…you dont need soft filters you need a fucking lesson in composition and lighting.
I guess someone forgot to tell Mike South that theres a program called Photoshop by Adobe that EVERYONE uses to “improve” the huge files that come out of the new digital slr cameras. I understand that not everyone knows what airbrushing is and how to use a clone tool but damn to say that you can fix photographic flows with just composition and lighting is ignorant at best.

Its one thing to touch up a single image but its another thing to touch up 29.97 frames per second. You need high-end specialized software like Shake, Combustion or Flame to airbrush or touchup digital video. This type of functionality is simply not found in beginner and middle level video applications.
I guess Mike South thinks his $5k Sony HDV camera is shooting in HiDef as well. Thats like saying that shooting with a PD150 or V2000 is the same as shooting on BetaSP. HDV is not HiDef. That being said I would love to know what type of true hidef camera he is shooting with. True HiDef being defined as a camera with removable and interchangable lens and with the video signal being uncompressed(HDPRO and other codecs are still compressed).

OK allow me to elaborate.
I shoot magazine layouts, if you have to do that much photoshoping to make it right, yopu will starve to death, you spend a few minutes touching up, cropping etc and you send the raw files to the publisher who then color matches them and whatever else must be done a 2MP image isnt near good enough for print work and thats all there is to it. Shooting HD requires a knowledge of lighting and composition that most pornographers simply dont have
as for my sont…it shoots HDV my Panasonic HVX200 shoots HD yu dont have to have interchangeable lenses to shoot HD porn anymore than you need a wide angle lens for it (please) nor does a signal need to be uncompressed to be HD those bluray and HDDVDs arent uncompressed….ever heard of H.264 or VC1? Thats what yer lookin at

Mike South your ignorance is amazing. Like all consumer or prosumer cameras the HVX200 is far from being anything close to HiDef. The HVX200 doesnt even have full size CCDs for crying out loud! How in the hell are you gonna call me when your camera can only see 960×540?

HDV is not HiDef. Your simple mind does not seem to be capable of understanding issues like 4.4.4 color sampling or compression artifacts.
HDV might be considered HiDef in Georgia but its not anywhere else.
