Max Hardcore Releases Official Statement

From his PR release:

LOS ANGELES — On the heels of 10-count obscenity indictment being returned against Paul F. Little, aka Max Hardcore, Little, along with his attorney Jeffrey J. Douglas of Santa Monica, Calif. have issued an official statement to the press. In addition to the mailing of allegedly obscene material, Little also is being charged with transmitting five allegedly obscene video clips over the Internet via the company’s website. Federal prosecutors said they are "seeking forfeiture of the `obscene’ films, all money made from sales of the films and all property used in the making of the films, including [Hardcore’s] home in Altadena, Calif."

Authorities also are seeking the forfeiture of the sites MaxHardcore.com, PissedOnPornStars.com and CatalinaXXX.com.

The DVD titles named in the indictment are "Max Hardcore Extreme 20 – Euro Edition," "Pure Max 19 – Euro Edition," "Max Hardcore Golden Guzzlers 7 – Euro Edition," "Fists of Fury 4 – Euro Edition" and "Planet Max 16 – Euro Edition."

The full text of Douglas’s and Little’s joint statement to the press is as follows:

Paul Little, who plays the fictitious character "Max Hardcore" in adult videos, is the most recent target of the Justice Department’s effort to suppress free speech. "These are five movies depicting consensual acts between adults, exclusively for consenting adults. There is nothing criminal about these movies," said Paul Little’s attorney, Jeffrey J. Douglas.

The newly unsealed Federal indictment arising from Tampa, Florida, is one of three pending Federal indictments against commercially available materials. Recently Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez described obscenity prosecution as among the Department of Justice’s highest priorities.

"This is an absurd misallocation of Federal resources," Douglas stated. "Everyone in America understands that if you don’t want to watch, you don’t have to. Why can’t the prosecutors understand that? There is real crime occurring, and a shortage of resources to fight them. Why waste our taxpayer money? How is America safer because another Hollywood filmmaker has been charged with the crime of making movies?"

Paul Little states: "They want to take away my home, my business, and my liberty for making fictional movies with consenting adults. All Americans, whether they watch adult material or not, can rely upon our vigorous defense in this case, fighting for the rights of all adults to view material they so choose."
