NL-I’ve never heard of Danielle Foxx, as a matter of fact I thought she was Elli Foxx’s daughter when I approved her account. Well she made a LONG video about her hate for Luke is back and posted it on YouTube. She calls Lukeisback a "HATE BREEDING SITE" I believe that is libelous. She also says things in the video which are probably Slanderous. I say probably because after the first minute, I couldn’t watch anymore. She does start out the video by saying that she took down her old account because of all the hateful comments people posted. Hmmm I wonder why? If you have the stomach to make it through the whole nine minutes please let me know what it says. And also someone please save the video so that she can’t go back and delete it or change it if things start to get ugly (for her).

I post on transgender boards, have several trangendered people who post on mine and consider many T/S my friends. (Even when they get upset with something that is said by a commenter on my site, they understand that it doesn’t neccessarily reflect my point of view)
I allow ALL points of view whether I agree with them or not. I am offended by some things that are said by commenters on my site, but I don’t take them down. Everyone has a right to their opinion. I interfere with comments as little as possible. But If someone said something specifically about you that was totally untrue (and not just an opinion), I would take it down. Don’t believe me? Ask you buddy ChristianX, as much as he doens’t like me, I talk to him pretty often.

I have been involved in the post production business for like 4 years and I had to deal with this woman who hates me. I tried to be professional because she is in a position above me. My boss told me that everyone else in the office puts up with her bullshit so why shouldn’t I? So I told him I wasn’t going to do it.

I put my tail between my legs and excused myself, only to later be accused of walking off the job. But back to the office lady… I have no clue what her beef is with me however having to work with people like that is horrible. And trust me I tried.

Colonel and others, why not provide some sources for the statistics you refer to? So we can have a reasonable discussion about the actual risks (if any) that come with TS working with “straight” performers.
I think it is a statistical fact that the TS community has a higher proportion of HIV infection than the non-TS population, but the same holds true for black men which if we were going to be talking simply about statistics would call for a cessation of all IR porn and a quarantine of all those who worked with black men. That is an absurd proposition, yet for some reason it is different when TS are concerned, maybe because people are used to using us as the butt of jokes and don’t expect a cogent response.
From my side of the aisle, it seems like a lot of uninformed bigoted remarks are being made about a whole group of people (TS) with little substance and a whole lot of hate speech. I think your argument about “flip-flopping” and “crossovers” lacks much substance so you fall back on de-humanizing TS and those that fuck us.
Honestly I worry about catching std’s from the “straight” performers I work with, much more than other TS, the reason being that the average TS performer in the US is only shooting on occasion (and almost always with condoms), whereas both male and female talent in the straight world are shooting multiple scenes every week unprotected.
Scapegoating TS for the sketchy practices of certain directors is unfair and will have no effect whatsoever on limiting the spread of HIV.

Statistics are very easy to manipulate to reinforce whatever agenda one may have. HIV rates amongs the TS population may be higher than the non-TS population on average, but that doesn’t necessarily imply that TS in the porn industry have higher rates of HIV than non-TS talent.
The TS porn world is actually pretty on top of testing and safe sex, and just citing higher incidences of HIV amongst TS in the general population doesn’t bear on the reality of HIV in the porn industry anymore than citing higher rates of HIV amongst young black men indicates a need for segregation in porn.
If the thought of a TS with a straight performer just grosses you out, and you don’t want people intermingling then it is your right to think or feel whatever you want. But I just don’t think using HIV as a cudgel to beat TS down with is fair or useful in protecting anybody’s safety.

I would like to state that I have no problems with disagreements however when someone calls me a names on the street they don’t use tranny, homo, fag, dirty, whore, nasty, freak… That’s because they have absolutely no clue I am transgender. Maybe when they dig up my body 5000 years from now they will have the right testing to determine I was a transsexual. There are actually historical documents that speak of trans and cross dressers way back in time, so if they could say that today, I am sure they will be able to say it centuries from now.
Do your research, it has been medically proven. People are the ones who cannot accept the truth now.

Just to clarify so everybody understands what the law actually is in regards to this subject.
US code Section 47, Chapter 5, Subsection II § 230. Protection for private blocking and screening of offensive material
Clearly states. . .
“No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider. ”
Meaning, that LIB is in no way liable for comments made on the site by anybody else.
Cases can be made against individual posters, but the “service” (in this case LIB) is not held to the comments made by users of the site.
Also. . .just to be clear (because I’m that kind of annoying guy). . .libel and defamation are the same thing (written word). . slander is spoken word.
Lets clarify the clarification a little.
The Statute says that if you are the provider of an “interactive computer service” or a user of the same and not an “information content provider,” if someone else posts something defamatory or otherwise violates the rights of other parties, then you may not be treated as the “publisher or speaker” of that posting and thus may not be liable for that posting.
However, it is possible that you may be considered to be an “information content provider” and therefore NOT protected by the above exemption if you participate, in whole or in part, in the “creation or development” of the allegedly legally offending material. Some cases have found that mere editing of another’s material may not make the editor an “information content provider” but the line between being the provider or user of an “interactive computer service” and being an “information content provider” is very unclear and quite fuzzy. Therefore, if you, as the provider of an “interactive computer service” or a user of the same, edit, screen, alter or otherwise participate in the creation or development of the material in whole or in part, you may lose your exemption and be liable. This has potential implications for so-called “moderated” lists or “moderated” discussion boards or chat rooms.
