Yesterday David Carradine was found "naked, hanging in a closet" in his Bangkok Hotel. It was first suspected that is was a suicide
Last night on Larry King LIve, Carradine’s manager and a couple friends/fellow actors declared that Carradine was at the pinnacle of his career and was very happy with his life. They felt that suicide was out of the question.
Today’s new information, sheds a different light on things-
Police Lt. Gen. Worapong Chewprecha told reporters, "The two ropes were tied together," he said. "It is unclear whether he committed suicide or not or he died of suffocation or heart failure."
By TWO ropes, the Officer is talking about the one around Carradine’s neck, and the one around his GENITALS. Hmmm
My speculation- I said it last night when all his friends were saying he wouldn’t commit suicide. I bet he had a hooker up there, was doing some weird sexual suffication stuff and something went wrong and she left…
I would also wager that it would have been ruled a suicide and left alone EXCEPT there is probably a big life insurance policy that the widow wouldn’t collect if it was a suicide…
Maybe Keith Carradine was trying some erotic asphyxiation and ended up dead. That happens a lot. But the odd thing is that he was in the closet. People usually try sexual fetishes on their bed, not in the closet; unless someone else was involved. How’s this for a theory: a mistress was there, they were role playing, she locks him up in the closet as a part of their role play scenario and he dies in there. Mistress then leaves the hotel without being noticed, and the hotel staff find Carradine’s body afterwards.
Regardless of how and why he died, he was one of my favorite actors. I don’t know how many people on this board have seen Circle of Iron, one of his late 70’s movies which was based on a story co-written by Bruce Lee. It’s one of those guilty pleasure cheesy action flicks that once you watch, you’ll never forget.

colonel, i remember “circle of iron” not bad, he will be remembered for the “kill bill” movies. but for me as a 8-10 year old back when “kung Fu” was on i will rember “grasshopper”, and my neighbor next door, running around and doing those kung fu moves and shit, saying “i’m kung fu, who the hell are you?!” Quentin’s going to have to scramble now for the replacement if any in his trilogy.
I wish it was Keith instead of David, not only is Keith Carradine one of the biggest egomaniacs in show business…comparable to the insufferable Mandy Pantikin, but he’s also responsible for Martha Plimpton. Its kind of ironic that David passed in Thailand, I had a friend who used to call his Tai Chi Workout the Thai Stick Workout. Too bad David had to do all kinds of shitty work in Hollywood, but he got typecast, even to the end where he was in Rob Schneider’s “Big Stan”.
Nice tidbit on Keith. I always wonder why his career did not go further, the looks and talent were there.

Pornfan, I’m glad you remember Circle of Iron. I get a wierd, guilty pleasure every time I watch that cheese fest of a B action flick. But as you mentioned, David Carradine will be mostly remembered for his hit TV series Kung Fu and in later years his appearance in Kill Bill movies. By the way, if Quentin Tarantino tends to make a third Kill Bill, I don’t think he would have much problem doing it without David Carradine. His character was killed off at the end of Vol. 2.
