There is a very well written book about Gia Carangi called “Thing of Beauty” by Stephen Fried. At the very end of the book there is a startling incident. When Gia died, the model scouts started deliberately searching for a replacement with the same look. The girl they came up with was dubbed “Baby Gia” (Cindy Crawford)!
