Xbiz Noms are OUT -Top Movies!

There are literally thousands of nominations so I can’t post them all. I’ll post the biggest cats and/or ones important to this site. I’m going to do a couple seperate posts on this.  Please go to http://xbizawards.xbiz.com/nominees.php  to see the whole list. Congrads to all my friends who were nommed! I’m happy to say that I can actually talk about what I think of awards and noms etc… Because this is the first time in 20 years I am not voting for anything! So if you are a PR person, or screener person, please DO NOT send me any items ! And for the first time in years, instead of watching hundreds of X movies, this year I have watched around 20. So I am not even qualified to vote. Please feel free to offer your opinion on the noms…

Feature Movie of the Year
    •    Countdown (Wicked Pictures)
    •    Nurses 2 (Digital Playground)
    •    Love, Marriage & Other Bad Ideas (New Sensations)
    •    Revenge of the Petites (AMKingdom/Exile Distribution)
    •    Spartacus MMXII The Beginning (London-Gunn Productions/Miko Lee Productions/Wicked Pictures)
    •    The Four (Adam & Eve Pictures)
    •    The Friend Zone (New Sensations)
    •    Torn (New Sensations)
    •    Voracious (Evil Angel)
    •    Wasteland (Elegant Angel)

NL-Purely from media releases and news stories, the biggest buzz is around Spartacus for sure. Not only for the great movie, but for the tremendous amount of blood, sweat & tears that was put in to make it.

Parody Release of the Year – Comedy
    •    El Gordo y la Flaca (Dulce Media/LFP Video)
    •    Family Guy: The XXX Parody (Full Spread Entertainment/LFP Video)
    •    Batgirl XXX: An Extreme Comixxx Parody (Extreme Comixxx/Exquisite Multimedia)
    •    Men in Black: A Hardcore Parody (Wicked Pictures)
    •    Not Animal House XXX (X-Play/Adam & Eve)
    •    Not the Three Stooges XXX (Will Ryder Productions/Pulse Distribution)
    •    Official Hangover Parody (Zero Tolerance)
    •    Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody (Axel Braun Productions/Vivid Entertainment)
    •    This Ain’t Nurse Jackie XXX (Hustler Video)
    •    The Godfather XXX: A DreamZone Parody (DreamZone Entertainment)

NL- El Gordo y la Flaca got  some really good reviews when it came out in February and I love that it’s a parody of a spanish TV show and its done in spanish. Problem was when I tried to talk to the guy from Dolce for info, he was such an asshole that I no longer wanted to do a story on it. I used to cover a lot of Will Ryder’s parodies because they are so well done, and his press releases are usually funny.  But the ones lately, like Animal House, have naked girls all over the cover, and I can’t show those, so I have to skip it. Axel’s Star Wars was really cool, the best movie I have seen from the above list. And it did make me laugh out loud.

Parody Release of the Year – Drama
    •    Birds of Prey XXX: A Sinister Comixxx Parody (Sinister Comixxx/Pure Play Media)
    •    Buffy the Vampire Slayer XXX (Adam & Eve Pictures)
    •    Fifty Shades of Grey: A XXX Adaption (Smash Pictures)
    •    Inglorious Bitches (Video Marc Dorcel/Wicked Pictures)
    •    Iron Man XXX: An Extreme Comixxx Parody (Extreme Comixxx/Exquisite Films)
    •    Pretty Lady (Sweet Sinema/Mile High Media)
    •    The Avengers XXX: A Porn Parody (Axel Braun Productions/Vivid Entertainment)
    •    The Dark Knight XXX: A Porn Parody (Axel Braun Productions/Vivid Entertainment)
    •    Training Day: A Pleasure Dynasty Parody (Pleasure Dynasty/Exile Distribution)
    •    Zorro XXX: A Pleasure Dynasty Parody (Jama Entertainment/Pleasure Dynasty/Exile Distribution)

NL-  a lot of really good movies in this cat, and I have not seen all of them, but Fifty Shades of Grey does stick out like a winner. If not in this cat, then I’m sure it will pick up some awards in others.

Gonzo Release of the Year
    •    Angels of Debauchery 9 (Darkko Productions/Evil Angel)
    •    Big Wet Asses 20 (Elegant Angel)
    •    Breakin’ Em In 15 (Vince Vouyer Unleashed/Jules Jordan Video)
    •    Bobbi Loves Boys (Bobbi Starr Productions/Evil Angel)
    •    Buttsluts (Mike Adriano Media/Evil Angel)
    •    Jada Stevens is Buttwoman (Elegant Angel)
    •    Kristina Rose: Unfiltered (Belladonna Entertainment/Evil Angel)
    •    Lexi (Elegant Angel)
    •    Nacho Invades America 2 (Chris Streams Productions/Jules Jordan Video)
    •    Pool Party at Seymore’s Vol. 3 (Seymore Butts Home Movies/Pure Play Media)
    •    Rocco’s Psycho Love 3 (Rocco Siffredi Productions/Evil Angel)
    •    The Insatiable Miss Saint (Jules Jordan Video)
    •    Ultimate Fuck Toy: Abella Anderson (Jules Jordan Video)
    •    Ultimate Fuck Toy: Riley Reid (Jules Jordan Video)
    •    U.S. Sluts 3 (Live Gonzo/Jules Jordan Video)

NL- I rarely watch any gonzo movies, so you guys are gonna have to be the judge here…

    •    A Love Story (Wicked Pictures)
    •    A Mother’s Love 2 (Hard Candy Films/Pulse Distribution)
    •    Blow (Wicked Pictures)
    •    Desire (Intimate Encounters/Adult Source Media)
    •    Forever Love Trust (Smash Pictures)
    •    Friends With Benefits (New Sensations)
    •    Love, Marriage & Other Bad Ideas (New Sensations)
    •    My Mother’s Best Friend Vol. 6 (Sweet Sinner/Mile High Media)
    •    Next Friday Night (Wicked Pictures)
    •    Shared Wives (New Sensations)
    •    Tango to Romance (Adam & Eve Pictures)
    •    The Friend Zone (New Sensations)
    •    Torn (New Sensations)
    •    Venus in Furs (Adam & Eve Pictures)
    •    Voila (Girlfriends Films)

NL- Stormy Daniel’s  Blow was a really good movie…

I don’t know why that Saturday Night Beaver movie I was in by Vivid was never nominated years back. Oh, yeah, it’s a compilation tape. Last night was the first time my gf saw Saturday Night Fever. She had no idea John Travolta was skinny once and could dance.

  2. The Four vs Spartacus … this will be interesting indeed.

We’ve talked on twitter. I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t contact me that way, or through my site that you read the article on.

I didn’t say I wouldn’t support your company. You have a very harsh manner. Seems like you take things the wrong way instead of trying to be friendly to people that can promote you.

I got the same feeling from you when I chatted with you on twitter.

Perhaps you might try a nicer friendlier tone to your emails to people…

I had to make a phone call to get your number and email… I didn’t save it from before. I didn’t know they would be giving me your work number. I only left a simple message when I found out it was your work.

I’m not sure if we got off on the wrong foot.. Either way I don’t think my message to you was at all rude. I am a Hustler supporter as well… Obviously they do my distribution. I also know they pay you for the banner space since its in my contract with them. If you choose not to support our projects that’s your right… And I have no problem with that.

I only sent you a message to point out an error… ( I had no way of knowing it was a press release.)

I talked to Nikki and she is fixing it with her P.R company. But thank you for taking the time to talk.

You have my email address obviously, and you have talked to me on twitter. Why & how did you call my job to talk to me? My day job has nothing to do with what I post on LIB.

And that is a press release that went out from a PR company about Nikki Delano. If you have a problem with what they are putting out, you should contact them.

Since Hustler's name is on the box and they are promoting it, how in the world would anyone know that Dulce got the appearance on Univision?

And frankly, I am a Hustler supporter, and that is my reason for promoting this movie.

    Cindi,

Thanks for putting something up on your site about our movie… But I wanted to
make you aware that Hustler only distributes this title. Dulce Media is the only
entity that has ever had any kind of contact with Univision…. If you could
please make the correction in the title I would appreciate it. It took a lot of
work on Dulce Medias part to make that appearance happen… And it sucks to see
others getting credit for our work… Especially when we need to keep making a
    name for ourselves.

    Thank you

    Roman Tamez

Cindi, you’ve written about awards and nominations in the past regardless of your voting status. Others, notably Roger, have written plenty about the process and top choices too (his podcasts last year were great!). So now, when you have seen the least amount of titles in your career, you claim to open up about them?

From the posted reviews online, there is a much different outlook on winners than based on media blasts too. From Roger pointing out the many troubles with “50 Shades…” to Gram’s comments on various works by Ryder to all kinds of others out there picking one over another, a lot of outcomes are in question.

Why not start a pool as to who you think will win in some of the bigger categories, those of us that vote will abstain (XBiz, AVN, etc).
