I don’t care for porn that treats the girls like a dishrag (Meatholes, Donkey Punch, Max Hardcore, etc…).
But if a girl consents to it and the scene remains consensual throughout (anyone SHOULD have the right to stop a scene at any time, for any reason), is really morally wrong?
They don’t necessarily know what they’re “consenting” to, Voltaire. Right or wrong, by habit, we tend to fill out and sign our releases BEFORE the action starts. In actuality, no one should do this until after the shoot, and ideally one should get paid right after signing it, the day of the shoot. Certainly Kimberly Kane didn’t know what she was getting into when she only met the guy. And if a girl goes through a shoot, gets traumatized, cries, survives, is permanently fucked-up psychologically from the experience… but in the meantime, just takes the paycheck as she walks away because she needs the money… does it make it wrong? The money doesn’t make it right! The shit this business has done under the guise of “entertainment” could well land a person in prison if they hadn’t had a camera on and “model” release signed. I feel for what Rebecca Bardoux said in the LIB archive. Khan represents something completely Satanic- the worst kind of no-playing-around kind of Satanism…

It’s sort of like consenting to a crack upside the head when you weren’t expecting or seeing it. There’s no “acting” required. Girls became masters at the art of getting affected and trying NOT to show it… taking the craft of acting into new dimensions. But, it’s just “entertainment” only. They were just acting, right? I completely agree with about what was stated on the link about Khan you provided. That’s why I stated it must REMAIN consensual. If at any point during a shoot, if a girl feels uncomfortable, she should absolutely have the right to stop, and anyone who pressures that person should be shut down and arrested.
What Im saying, is a situation where it is fully consensual… Even though grossly extreme. Should the porn community condemn that kind of filming? Even though, ultimately, all parties accepted the premise, and continued to accept it throughout the shoot…
Origen, I think being honest is being bold (especially in Southern California- where the alleged truth is less often said to a person’s face), but I’d prefer to believe you’re right and that it isn’t. But you know how much hostility, animosity, etc. saying things which people think is crazy or dangerous? I get it with 9/11 but there’s no photo of a plane hitting the Pentagon and no explanation for WTC7 collapse, to just scratch the surface. And then you beg and plead for people to simply examine the facts within the controversy and it’s like you’re speaking an alien language. This shit is so basic that people miss it.

Ashley’s book is a pretty compelling read. It’s like Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas. While your reading, there’s this voice in the back of your head screaming, “Go to sleep!! Take a shower!! Quit doing so many drugs!!!” I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Sorry for the double, but I had to re-post after reading Voltaire’s link. First off, RIP David Aaron Clark. He was one of my favorite writers in the industry and constantly hit the nail on the head with his statements.
As for the Regan Starr incident. That was some bullshit (I’ve seen it). She knew exactly what she was getting into. The silly part is that the scene didn’t even fucking start. Mickey G grabs her by the throat and says some pseudo-threatening shit and she just freaks the fuck out. I’ve seen episodes of Porn Star Punishment that were harder than what was essentially the first five minutes of a scene that contained no sexual contact whatsoever. It seems to me that she was in a bad spot, was fed up with the biz and took the easiest out she could.
