Do you know what it is and why we celebrate it? It started after the civil war to honor soldiers that were killed. That was expanded to include all soldiers who died. These days it is a time to remember soldiers and everyone you love who has passed away.
We are more inclined to think of it as a four day barbeque weekend/party time. Nothing wrong with that. Just take ONE minute out of your weekend to think of the reason for the day. Have a blast and DONT DRINK & DRIVE!!!

My family is visiting and we have already done the art show, & the antique stores and now it’s time for swimming and cooking out. Later, a movie and popcorn. A pretty wholesome good time 😉
