Jeremy Steele tells you “What is a Fucking Star?”

What is a Fucking Star?
op/ed by Jeremy Steele

What is a star?

We are all literally comprised of star stuff. Carl Sagan will tell you that.  Astonomers guestimate that there are at least 70 sextillion stars. That is 70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, which is about 230 billion times the amount of stars in our Milky Way galaxy.

Where do stars come from? Nebulas.  The nebulous world is where we all come from.

And the brightest stars never have forgotten that.

And if and when you believe you are a star, then you are! Don’t ever let someone else try to put you down for saying otherwise!

If you love someone they are the star of your world.  If you dream or or stalk or jerk off to them, or if they’ve caused you a tear jerker then there’s an award for them, from you, waiting in your hearts.

Whether it’s a star you can clearly or remotely see, or have ever heard of, somewhere they are out there and still shining, with their own worlds orbiting around them, which in turn influence them back based on their and their moons placement in the heavens.

But what IS a star? Ever been to Hollywood Boulevard and read all the names as you walk? Chances are you’ve probably never even heard of say 80-90% of all the names you see! So, what does this mean, that they aren’t stars? Should you spit or shit on them or have their concrete slabs removed or sold and replaced by the winner of this year’s best cock sucker award?

What of those who starred in pilots, who’s ship never took off?  What of the cast members of straight to video movies?
What of the cultivator of personality with his own little commune, that neither I or you or most of us have ever heard of?
What about the stars of countless plays scattered about the cities, on Broadway, throughout the world and her history? What about that movie extra who got taft hartley’d and given a line to say?  Some may say he or she is not a star but still it’s made his or her day.

We are ALL stars. Where ever each of us go, we’re always in the center of where ever we are.  We all have a story, we all have something to say. Somehow in some way, no matter what some other people may say. (insert Debussy music here)

And the biggest audience by far that we could ever have is perhaps beyond this world, looking down on us now; a celestial audience comprised of some who have already been here; an audience which always knows there’s never anything for you to have to prove to those down here who are all just passing through. The great nebula is where we’re all from and where we’re all ultimately going back to.

Now, moving on to What is a "Porn Star", or what is a "fucking star". I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, until someone convinces me otherwise. "Pornstar" should be one word, not two, because it seems a lot of people get confused.

I’ve kind of always felt that the term "Porn Star" had an inherent element of oxymoronic contradiction, at the very least.  It always seemed to me that the "porn" portion of the word "pornstar" was literally the part that brings, or at least should bring, that "star" part back to Earth. And as soon as that epiphany is realized and owned then it should dissuade other people from spouting off about their silly caste systems of arrogance and inflated sense of importance.

(insert applause here) (bowing) (thanks, I really needed that!)

I think there has come to be way too much fucking ego in this industry. We are having sex on camera here, folks!  None of have invented sex. I few of us might have helped spread diseases but none of us have cured cancer.

The original concept of a "porn star", as well as the wikipedia definition is simply anyone who has had sex on camera for money.

It’s good to, in ways, take our selves seriously but not necessarily in all ways.

And it certainly is absurd to feel the need to say you are better than someone else. That only shows you are insecure regardless of all you’ve achieved, that your mind and heart still feel so diseased to have the need to put others down in order to feel more validated. The more you have to tell us you’re a star, the more you’re only telling us  that, despite that being true, that you somewhere deep inside, you don’t really know or believe it to be true.

Do you think Mick Jagger or Johnny Depp would ever feel inclined to get on the internet and write an article saying ‘What is about all these people calling themselves ‘stars’? Obviously they don’t need to tell us, and it’s usually the most visible and known stars who are the most humble. They still have not forgotten we are all rooted in that nebulous obscurity from which we came.

Yes even whores are stars, including attention whores; even the ones who, in truth, don’t really believe they are, evidenced by the simple fact that they have to even tell you they are, themselves.

Stars are big balls of hot gas that are the cause of all life as we know it. We are all each a source of life.  And as soon as you realize, you’ll find yourself less dependent on other’s big balls of hot gas.

We all shine on. Shine on you crazy diamond!
