Houston found Jesus, (a couple weeks ago? or in 2003?)

Okay, how to write this while keeping confidences….  I talked to two people who are well trusted by me and I am sure they told me the truth. Each of these two people talked to Houston, separate times, separate places over the last month.  Both conversations were long, detailed and got personal. Both of these conversations involved discussion of the porn industry and Houston’s illness. Houston never mentioned religion in either. Nor did she talk about porn being a negative thing in her life.

Houston was recently on Howard Stern, and she talked about porn and her cancer and no mention of religion there either. She did though, raise money for her cancer treatment.

I knew Houston when she was in the industry. I interviewed her several times. I just went and did research on her. I have never heard, nor could I find ONE mention of religion in any of Houston’s articles, conversations, interviews etc…

Houston has said NOW that she became a born again Christian in 2003. I guess she just forgot to mention that to anyone. I’m fine with her keeping her religion to herself. It just seems that she made money from porn and porn fans for years and continued to do so with her recent appearance on Howard Stern, and her website asking her fans to send her donations.

All of a sudden Houston finds she can receive money from the XXXChurch by denouncing porn and saying she had found Jesus. So XXXChurch sends out an e-mail with Houston’s story ( about how bad porn was and how awful she had it), and the money starts flowing. She has already received $1500 from the church, and they are raising more money to help her. The XXX Church says soon you will be able to see Kimberly (Houston) on line in videos on their site.

The XXXChurch is raising this money through the Ester Fund. From their website-The Esther Fund was created to assist porn stars who leave leave the porn industry by providing them with schooling, counseling, medical insurance, referrals to churches and pastors, mentoring, financial aid, and more to those who qualify. We have requirements that people who want to leave porn must meet.

When we help the porn stars, we are helping Christ. Please consider giving to the Esther Fund. There are several people right now waiting to receive help from the Esther Fund, so please consider giving financially or even in other areas such as help with legal issues, property, fund-raising ideas to help Esther Fund or whatever the Lord shows you to give. Let’s help the porn stars rebuild their lives together. With God, all things are possible.

Didn’t Houston leave the industry five years ago? Wasn’t she working as a Real Estate agent?  I don’t think she needs help leaving the industry. I think the XXXChurch found an ex-porn star with a juicy story and a recognizable name who would be good for their publicity to say they "saved" another porn chick.

I’m not sure I blame Houston here. Although I heard she has health insurance (how many people are that lucky?) I know how expensive out of pocket can be when you have an ongoing illness. I think Houston said what she needed to say to get on the XXXChurch on her side. Hey, if you need money, and someone says, we will get you money, you just need to tell us your porn sob story so we can prove our point of "saving" porn stars, maybe your real porn story suddenly becomes more tragic.

Of course the XXXChurch are the instigator in all this, but Houston probably didn’t figure her sob story would get blown all over the adult gossip sites.(Thanks to Darrah at PornStarBabylon) Houston probably thought it was going around in an e-mail to the religious members of the XXXChurch only, no porn people are really going to see that, right?

Plus Houston’s donations were now low on her site, she already took out most of the money. She already appeared on Howard Stern. What was left for her to get out of her porn name? Not much. So why not turn the opposite direction! A whole new bunch of people, churches, appearances etc… to get money from.

Houston, I wish you the best with your health and your finances, and I’d love to hear your side of the XXXchurch/my life in porn story, or do I have to wait for your book?
