Copper Digital PR Stunt

Scott writes the following:

Hey Luke did you see this Copper Digital Press Release that Gene posted? (editor’s note: Link)

The entire release is all about how great the director of InTeractive (Q. Roberts) is, and how everyone should use Copper Digital. What it doesn’t point out is the person who shot InTeractive (Q. Roberts) is actually Bob Quinn. He is the owner of Copper Digital. The entire release is basically the company owner pretending to not be the company owner to push his own company. Pretty brilliant on Bob’s end. Before Quinn started Copper he used to work for Vivid. You should hear some of the stories his ex-girlfriend has about him. She is works as a "masseuse". Check out her ad on ThatMall:

I gotta give Bob credit though. She does seem pretty hot in those photos.

Q. Roberts writes the following to me:

Hey Luke, I’m mentioned in one press release and it starts a thread on your site. I’m batting a thousand!

First off, I really don’t see the need for "Scott" to use my real name. If he is so comfortable using my name, maybe he can sign off with his.

Secondly, Copper Digital was in business before I even lived in California, let alone had any contacts or work experience in the adult industry. People who know the company better than "Scott" know who the owner is.

Thirdly, what my ex-girlfriend has to do with this I have no idea. Do you know anyone going through a breakup that has positive things to say about one another? Of course not.

The poster is actually the same person who took the photos of "Jordan", which made it a lot easier to identify her as my ex, considering the faces are blurred out.

"Scott" seems to question my integrity, yet "Scott" is a well known director who left one company to direct for another company known for their exclusivity, yet continued to direct for his previous employer under a different name.

The bottom line is that his post was probably motivated out of frustration my ex, "Jordan", rejected his unsolicited advances. The most disturbing part is that this took place nearly three years ago.

Regardless, I’ve never had any personal issues with "Scott" and when I’ve worked with him in the past we got along great. I wasn’t aware he was harboring this resentment towards me.

Who is this director that Roberts writes about?

Stephen writes the following:

I rarely have time to read your site, but I can tell you there is more to
this story than meets the eye. I worked with Bob Quinn back at hustler, along with the now owners and operators of Copper Digital. Bob was brought in after Hustler brought the DVD Authoring in house and he hired the staff personally. For him to say Copper Digital was around before he moved to California, this is possible, but if it was, it wasn’t operating as it does today. The owner/operator of Copper is a great guy, as is the designer who help start and get it off the ground. If you notice, Bob stays away from answering Scotts question. He did direct InTeractive and what I saw wasn’t that bad….. Only problem is, it went way over budget, it took almost 2 years to complete and for once, it wasn’t because of talent. I never saw the end result of the movie, but that was personal choice.
