Tyra Banxx Leaves JKP

She writes:
"I am officially free from JKP!" states former JKP contract girl Tyra. "I had to wait and see what was really going on. When I realized that Jill was not returning, and that the company was obviously not the same company I signed with, I knew it was time to leave. If you do not have Jill Kelly, what do you have?"
Tyra signed on with Jill Kelly Productions in November 2004, and was featured in videos such as 'Tyra's Little Secrets' and 'Tyra's Runway Rendezvous' and 'Boned.' Tyra was also a trophy girl at the AVN Awards in Las Vegas in January.
"I met a lot of great people at JKP and I have the utmost respect for Jill. She is an extremely smart woman who I admire for her strength and professionalism. People with no knowledge or respect for the industry are what destroyed JKP. I am glad that the industry as a whole realizes that Jill was not the bad guy. She was what held the company together. All of the girls only stayed on as long as they did out of loyalty to her.”
Friday Tyra picked up her last check from JKP. She said that Dan Ice, the new COO did not even talk to her about it. "He made Scott do it, to convince us it was in or best interest to leave. What does that tell you?” asks Banxxx. "The employees are really great and I hope that they can find other jobs within the industry. Yvette Garcia is an amazing graphic designer, and Scott Hoover always supported me and got my name and face out there when I was brand new. I will always be thankful to my friends."
Tyra does not want to comment in depth on the future of JKP although she said, "It does not look to good when Jill and all your contract girls- something that you have built your company on- decide to leave. It’s very sad, but I look forward to working with some new talent, new directors and possibly another contract down the road. I am working on my website, totallytyra.com and getting myself working again. I can't wait to start shooting again."

The porn star Alana aka Tyra Banxxx appeared on the Tyra Banks TV show Tuesday (taped in October, 2005).
"I'm going to get you a job counselor," said Tyra to the porn star Alana. "I'm also going to get you a therapist. The only reason you are in those movies is because of what you've gone through. The last thing is to help Alana we are sending her to cosmetology school at the West Valley Cosmetology Center. We're going to pay for that. And we're going to follow up on you. I'm going to be constantly following up on you. We have a whole make-up staff on this show and you can hang around and learn and they can mentor you."
The audience applauds.
"Are you ready to quit porn?" Tyra asks.
"Definitely," says Alana. "If I have somewhere to go."
"Say, 'Tyra, I am going to quit porn.'"
Alana: "Tyra, I am going to quit porn."
"I'm so proud of you," says Tyra.
